play2
North Laurel and Red Bird drew in the top bracket. Clay County plays OBI with the winner to play Jackson County in the bottom bracket.
kyhoops#23
So who got the best end of that? NL or Clay?
Mastermind
Looks like North and Clay will both advance to the region..
SKINPIG
Anyone know how it came out? This blind draw is a JOKE!! Why does the 49th still draw? Can't they vote seeding back in? You would think with Clay, North & Jackson it would be a no brainer. Who's holding out for the draw? :madman:
Les
They tried to vote it in today, but Red Bird, Jackson and OBI voted it down. When North drew the No. 1 number for the bracket coach Conway took a big sigh of relief.

It's about time that he and the Jags caught a break! :thumb:

I really don't understand why Jackson would want to if that was the case.
statmanhensley
Theyor thnking, along with most All A sized schools, is that if they can draw into the bracket with one of the weaker teams then they'll have a better shot at making the regional tournament. I don't like the blin draw and think that all districts should seed but until the KHSAA steps in and makes it mandatory to seed then we'll have to live with the blind draw. SKINPIG
Seems selfish to me. They need to raise their expectations. Sneaking into the region just to get thumped makes no sense to us PIGS, OINK!
Les
After interviewing coach Hayes from Jackson County, I think he wants to seed, but I believe it's Jackson's principal who doesn't.
Jim Schue
After interviewing coach Hayes from Jackson County, I think he wants to seed, but I believe it's Jackson's principal who doesn't. Overheard today: "Jackson County got what they deserve by not voting to seed." And with matchups with Clay in the district semifinals likely in both boys and girls, the person who uttered this statement seems pretty on the money. I also heard that the Jackson County's Boy's Coach wanted to seed, but his principal voted to draw.
