Clay Co/ OBI winner vs Jackson County

 

50th at Corbin:

 

South Laurel vs Wburg

Corbin vs Whitley County

 

51st at Pineville:

 

Bville vs KC

Lynn Camp Vs Pineville

 

Now I need some help on the 52nd:

This is why I don't like the blind draw. Clay will probably be the #1 seed from the 49th, but with the draw, has to win 2 to advance to the region. I believe they will, but how about rewarding them for earning the #1 seed? I see North and Clay in the district finals. They had a great game last time and this one should be no different.

If Cumberland wins, there is a tie for first and for third. They have drawed numbers out of a hat in the past when there was a tie.

Not really, they already lost to cawood twice, split with middlesboro and once to bell, they can split with bell with a win.

I have never liked the blind draw. It defeats the purpose of playing the season in regards to the postseason seeding. Instead of hoping for a good draw, play these teams and earn it. Clay should be the #1 seed in the district and they earned it. I am with you on this one.

I believe pride was lost when North Laurel stepped into the district!

I read a quote from Coach Hayes that stated that the district should be seeded, so I guess the AD must have made the call for Jackson Co.

I think that the KHSAA should mandate that all district be seeded. It would put everyone on a level playing field, and after reading some other threads in the public/private debate, it would be interesting to see how many used the "level playing field" arguement but don't like seeding.

 

The "old" 50th District did not seed, and it hurt several teams mostly the smaller schools over the years, had they had the foresight to vote for seeding in the long run it would have been better.
