  1. Did the seperation issue not pass by a vote of the member schools then get shot down by the KHSAA? I think most statewide would like to see change. I doubt it would be 98 percent but would be willing to say over two- thirds majority would like to see it happen.
  2. Frazier throws another TD....Jackets 42 - Jellico 0 9:45 left in the second....
  3. Mutt has some valid points. I would think that Private schools would only want to compete with other Privates for state titles...some of the bigger and high profile Publics would still be willing to play them in the regular season. I think the Private schools would have no problems filling their schedules. Why not have a small school private and large school private champion and keep the original four class system for the Publics?
  4. Jackets score again...35 - 0 with a few seconds left in the first quarter....no mercy so far.
  5. Jellico turns it over again...Jackets marching towards the endzone.
  6. Jackets turn it over to the Blue Devils on the Jellico 29 yard line...let's hope for a running clock by the third quarter..
  7. Jellico fumbles the football on the kickoff...Alex Patrick recovers on the Jellico forty....they might score 100 unless they call off the dogs.
  8. Frazier tosses another TD to Hamblin......Jackets lead 28- 0....Woods has really helped the special teams....where was he last week? A few extra points against KC and the Jackets win.......5 minutes left in the first quarter...if you can believe this one.
  9. Another interception for the Jackets.....this Jellico team is really struggling...Coach Herron will get his first career win. I would expect the JV to play the most of the game.
  10. Jellico pass intercepted by Brock...Jackets take over again....
  11. Root runs it down to the 1 foot line, then Frazier carries it in...PAT is good by Corbin transfer Greg Woods...Wburg 14 Jellico 0....the route is on with 8 minutes to go in the first.
  12. Jellico 3 and out...Jackets gain possession from their own 35.
  13. Jackets score after an interception......Frazier runs it in from the 11 yard line. Woods PAT is good 7-0 Jackets.
  14. Jellico wins the toss and elects to receive.
  15. I think the Jackets will win this one big. Jellico has been terrible the last four or five years and the trend will continue this season. Jerry Herron should be able to name the score. If he loses this one, then the powers to be will be heading a search committee to find a new Head Man for the Jackets( just joking) . I will take Burg 48 Jellico 18. I think the Jacket defense really needs the most work..lining up wrong and missing some key tackles were as important in the loss last week as the offensive blounders in my opinion...... fumbles will happen as well as tipped balls...but you have to block and tackle....make the routine plays on defense and the Jacket offense is good enough to win most nights against the teams they play.
  16. Do not think the Camp can hang with Mboro this season. Mboro 42 Lynn Camp 30.
  17. Whitley will put up a big fight you can bet the farm on that. Jim Black will have the Colonels pumped and ready come Saturday evening. I will pick the Colonels in a high scoring game...42 -28. These mountain boys will be hitting hard and flying all over the field. The Whitley confidence should be at an all -time high after a tough loss to Bell County. Once they grasp the concepts of Coach Black's high powered offense the sky is the limit for this group of Colonels. Hopefully both teams will play to their full potential...
  18. Without Cashen it may another 0 - 5 start for the Hounds
  19. Rob Madon is Biff's son. Very hard nosed Player for the Hounds...getting better each year.
  20. I would dare say that the end result of every team on your list will be better than the Raiders.....it is not where you start it is where you finish....McCreary is a program that has seen too many coaching changes over the years to maintain any consistency. I hope they put a good team on the field. But to compare them with any team on your list might be a little premature at this point. I think Wburg is the only team on the list that plays the Raiders. That might give us a good gauge as to how much improvement has taken place.
  21. Maybe time for a change in the offensive thinking for the Hounds......What would the Hounds do with someone who would open it up and toss the ball around the field....the tight end position is a glorified guard in the offensive scheme used by the Hounds....what is the deal with French? He is a heck of an athlete to be standing on the sidelines....I thought he would be an impact. Mike Campbell is another athlete that was not featured in the attack. at 5'11 and 235 you would think he would be the one taking the ball up the middle not Sewell who is at best 140 ish....I think the Hounds got beat by a power team running to their strengths and the Hounds were stuck in the mindset that they could run it down the throats of a bigger and stronger Rock team...fatal mistake in my opinion...but heck what do I know.
  22. I know the Colonel announcers sometimes see the game differently than the average fan....good showing by the Colonels....you stoled a good one in Coach Black. He will have a strong team soon. Sounds like Lawson made the play of the game for the Colonels..good to see him out and playing a nice role for the team. He has the genes to be an impact player for the Colonels this season. :thumb:
  23. Whitley radio guys made it sound like the Colonels should have won the game...Some short hopped completed passes and some questionable calls in their opinion cost the Colonels the upset....I am sure the Colonels will bounce back at North Hardin...
  24. I would think when Harlan County High is finished you might be looking for a new head coach in Green Dragon land.
