Williamsburg vs. Jellico, Tn.

Featured Replies

The Border War is tonight at Rose Stanfill Stadium in the 'Burg. No posts on this one so I thought I'd start one. Does the 'Burg bounce back from a heartbreaking 1 point loss to a Knox Central team they outplayed, does the new air attack offense of Jellico prevail? Williamsburg got some answers last week as Aaron Root showed to be capable at fullback with several tough runs and a 61 yard TD run after catch, but did fumble once. Frazier threw well and made good decisions most of the game but had an interception on a tipped ball and struggled to find receivers in the red zone. Hamlin made some plays but really needs to show more explosiveness. The kicking game really cost Williamsburg last week...is it fixed for week 2? Could be an interesting game but I think the Jackets rebound and win this one 42 to 13.

I think the Jackets will win this one big. Jellico has been terrible the last four or five years and the trend will continue this season. Jerry Herron should be able to name the score. If he loses this one, then the powers to be will be heading a search committee to find a new Head Man for the Jackets( just joking) . I will take Burg 48 Jellico 18.

I think the Jacket defense really needs the most work..lining up wrong and missing some key tackles were as important in the loss last week as the offensive blounders in my opinion...... fumbles will happen as well as tipped balls...but you have to block and tackle....make the routine plays on defense and the Jacket offense is good enough to win most nights against the teams they play.

Williamsburg 38-12.

This is a joke thread Right? I mean I didn't even know Jellico played football anymore, I thought they were so bad they discontinued the sport there....

If they show up, Jellico will want to give it up by the end of the first quarter,

Jackets 62

Jellico 6

I heard Jellico got a new coach and at the moment there is high hopes he can right there ship. I wouldn't count them out but I think the jackets will dominate this from start to finish.

Many years ago this was a great border war. I was born in Jellico but lived in Burg. I still have family in Williamsburg. All my cousins played for Burg. I now live in NKY. Go Jackets.
