  1. I know he got more shots per game last season as a Redhound...Cody would have really gave the Corbin team a chance to beat South this season. His size (6'6 to 6'8 depending on who measures) would be a great asset to a Corbin team that struggled (very lucky) to beat Cumberland on the road last night. I guess Coach Pennington is in a hard spot with Coach Mitchell and his son and Coach Dixon and his son on the team.....I would agree Coach Dixon is well schooled on his approach to the game. I will interested to see if both are on the sidelines next season. It might be that Coach Pennington is stuck with Mills only next year. Good Luck Cats. Beat Pineville and get to the region for the first time in like 30 years.
  2. Why would the 16th region officials reward Coach Messer? He certainly seems to disagree with them on almost every call? I too am sad if the Panthers had a home court advantage.
  3. Sorry I know Coach Pennington is the Head man and Coach Mitchell seems to be the number two guy from the games I have watched... he coaches the JV games.......Wildcats listen to your Coaches.....and not your daddies'....
  4. None whatsoever, if the Hounds beat South this season then we can all talk about it....til then South is the king. They are good and should win the region........... NO one is going to kiss their state rings and bow down to the Cards............. Respect and fear are two different things.....all teams respect South, But none of the top five teams fear them....worst case is that they score more points than you and win.......nothing more nothing less......it is an easy pick to say they win the region hands down.......It is g oing out on limb to say that someone else may have a chance......I think not....all teams have a chance............some more than others....let the games begin.
  5. I saw in the paper where he was listed as 6'8 by Coach Pennington. He was 6'6 last season as a Redhound, I thought he may have grew. At any rate with only 7 shots agame............. he is again not being used correctly...... A kid like Cody should get that many offensive rebounds a game. I mean he has the size and strength to manhandle most his age at the high school level. Sad that the Lynn Camp Wildcats would not play as a team. With great players like Dixon, Eggan, Bray and Siler they could accomplish good things. I guess the selfishness that I witnessed while watching them play as Redhounds has again resurfaced and thus the results are following. I hope the Campers will start to listen to Coach Pennington and Wade and turn things around...........Of Course Red Bird is a hard place to play............Did the KING call the game?
  6. From your posts you seem like a BobCardinal....short tailed red-bird....lol The pro Sout post make one think you are a Laurel fan.
  7. I hope so bad that someone can put together a great game an win the region to make all of you eat major crow. I agree they are the favorite, but there are alot of teams who deserve some respect in this region
  8. Wheels are coming off the Campers....? How can Red Bird hold 6'9 Cody Dixon to only 8 points? Is he injured? Sick? Big game coming up for the Wildcats against Williamsburg. This one shocks me. :irked:
  9. Wow, has Whitley completely quit for the season? Did SW run the score up? Would love to hear some details on this one.
  10. They certainly play like a caged animal released to go rebound the basketball. I love the way these guys get after it...If Clay had a solid guad to handle the ball and one really good outside shooter they would be my region favorite.. South Laurel tries to out skill you and out jump you for rebounds.....Clay justs rips your head off and takes the ball from you.....any team that plays them better be ready to battle under the boards...
  11. If Bell can keep the three animals...Swafford, Sizemore and Jones off the offensive glass then they have a great chance to pullout the win..... Clay will turn it over under good pressure...Bell can get after you if they want to....I still take Clay due to the inside strength Clay 67 Bell 54
  12. Strong statement.......I hope we get to see these two match-up in the region.....
  13. Hopefully the Redhounds will get a re-match with Pineville in the 13th region tournament and we can settle who deserves the spot. Pineville is a great team. North Laurel and Pineville would be a great regional game as well. Wonder what the region picture would look like if South Laurel was not in the 13th this season?
  14. Should be a good game. If the Hounds bring it they should be ok......Cumberland is a hard place to get a win....How good is the Johnson kid, how big is he? What style of play has the new Coach up there put in this season?
  15. I knew the Cats could do it. Dixon may have set a school record with over 20 rebounds. Glad to see the Wildcats playing good team basketball, when they do this and listen to their Coaches they can be very , very good. Keep up the good work boys.
  16. Tate has a bad ankle. Hamlin says he has tightness in his thighs which may explain his lack of lateral movement.
  17. Great win on the road for the Hounds. I thought the gameplan was solid and the players executed well until late when their youth showed up. Corbin made a big step forward with the win. I hope they can build on this an continue to come together and improve. In my opinion it was a fairly called game with both teams battling hard to the final horn.
  18. Dylan "Mr. Excitement" Sizemore from the Clay County Tigers. His warm-up antics are worth the price of admission. He has a lot of enthusiasm and loves to get the crowd pumped up. I guess Coach Grey allows him to show his true love of the game as he was much more in control of his emotions when Coach Jones was the Head Tiger. If you get the chance check him and the Tigers out soon.
  19. I have seen many a talented team have an off night and the weaker opponent get a break or two and pull off the upset. I was not implying that anyone would cheat South. They are pretty physical and handsy on defense. If the game is called tight it would work against a team like South and in the favor of a team like Barbourville. 15th region officals are calling the 13th this year so who knows how they will let them play. I can promise it will be entertaining.
  20. Or South would have to have alot of fouls called on them and Bville shoot 40 free throws, which may come to pass when the region rolls around. Never say never guys. South is the favorite, but as everyone knows on a given night any team can win.
  21. Sure wish Coach Strange and the Lions could have won this one. Seems like Bville has a lock on the title these days. Good luck to the Tigers next week at EKU
  22. Cody is a fine young man, from a very nice family. I wonder if he would have made a big difference for the Hounds this season. Another inside presence and some much needed height to battle South. Guess we will never know, I hope he made the best decision and I too would love to see him lead the Wildcats to the 13th region.
  23. He is the Regional rep for the ALL A. I would say he would have some pull when it comes to who calls the games. How much I am not for certain. I know A former Coach at Evarts used to call him Ray's other son. lol
  24. Now Zap, you know that Barbourville and Coach Phipps never get an breaks....lol Just ask Dinky he will tell you how he gets it laid to him even when he wins by 20 and after shooting 40 free throws..... Bville 72 Mboro 66 Pineville 56 Jackson Co 63 Bville
