Congrats to the Tigers on winning the 13th region All A.

Awsome basketball by both teams. Congrats to Hensley, Strange, and Day on getting the All Tournament team from Pineville. The Mountain Lions have alot they can improve on and I'm sure J.D. Strange will have every thing perfect by the time district rolls around. As for the game this was a very good expirence for the young Mountain Lions but I wished I could have watched seniors Hensley and Rosenbalm play at Richmond. Congrats to Barbourville on winning the 13th Region ALL "A" again and I know you will represent our region well.

Fine job by two quality class A teams, sounds like the game was played at Pineville's pace, really low score, the small gym must have been rockin at Evarts. Any stats?

Sure wish Coach Strange and the Lions could have won this one. Seems like Bville has a lock on the title these days. Good luck to the Tigers next week at EKU

This win would have meant so much to the Pineville community. Nothing against, Barbourville, but I sure wish the Mountain Lions would have been the ones heading to Richmond. But they're young, they'll probably be the favorites for the next two years.

 

BTW, they have the score wrong on the KHSAA website. On there it's 44-33 instead of the actual 44-43.

Pineville has a lot to be proud of. They have a great coach and a great assistant in Russ Thompson. I played with the team some this summer and Ive been very impressed by their work ethic and they just seem to really enjoy playing.
