Barbourville vs. Middlesboro

These two played each other earlier in the season with Barbourville winning easily 99-71. This game should be much closer, but I still have to go with the Tigers by a score of 85-78.

 

Jackson Co. vs Pineville

If Pineville controls the tempo, I like them by a score of 58-53.

IMO it will be Barbourville and Pineville in the championship.

I havent seen Jackson Co., but I have seen P'ville and they are playing really well and flying under the radar.

Don't over look Jackson Co. I don't think they have ever lost an All A game seems like they won the thing the only other time they were in it a few years ago. This tournment should be B'ville's they are playing good and Coach Phipps has always known how to get his team and the officals ready for a big game.

I heard this but dont know if its correct: but is Coach Phipps the All A director for the 13th region? If so does he have a hand picking the officals that call the games or does someone else choose them?

Coach Phipps would never suggest the officals did him wrong would he?

He is the Regional rep for the ALL A. I would say he would have some pull when it comes to who calls the games. How much I am not for certain. I know A former Coach at Evarts used to call him Ray's other son. lol

I pick Barbourville with ease over Middlesboro, and Pineville by 10 over Jackson County (if the Mt Lions can play like they did in the game I saw at OBI).

 

 

BTW, how many fans will Evarts gym hold? I was told no more than 300. If that's a fact then, the 13th needs to re-think how they do their final four games. That's the night of the BIG crowds. It sounds like a few people may be turned away at the gate tonight.

I'm going to take Middlesboro upsetting B-Ville, with Miller having another big game. Pineville should be able to knock off Jackson County.
