Being the "favorite" means nothing in this match-up. Over the years the "underdog" has often won. Russell is much improved from last year and they are home. The Tomcats better come ready to play hard.

I am sorry to learn this. My prayers go out for the family.

I think the Tomcats will learn and grow from this loss. They were just a few mistakes away from the win.

This should be a good ball game. I'm pulling for the Rams, but I think it will be close.

I don’t know if these teams have ever played before. But, I know they haven’t played in quite a while. This appears to be pretty strong scheduling and should help get the Tomcats ready for district play.

The game will be played at Putnam Stadium, Sep-2. The Patriots are 1-0 and are ranked 967 nationally and 2nd in the state (WV) - according to their web site.

I hear Russell's line coaches are very pleased. This year's team may be hard to handle.

The Rams always play hard. I've watched them bring some FINE teams into Putnam. The Tomcats better come ready to play. I look for #74 (O'Brian) and #80 (Gregg) to put a lot of pressure on the Ram QB.
