Graybeard Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 The game will be played at Putnam Stadium, Sep-2. The Patriots are 1-0 and are ranked 967 nationally and 2nd in the state (WV) - according to their web site.
Graybeard Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 I don’t know if these teams have ever played before. But, I know they haven’t played in quite a while. This appears to be pretty strong scheduling and should help get the Tomcats ready for district play.
Ram Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I'll be truthful Graybeard, GW is good. I think they may even be better then Ironton this season. They are a physical bunch and have some pretty good team speed. I hope Ashland comes out ready to defend their turf. But, like you said, this team is going to simulate what Ashland will see versus Johnson Central and help prepare them for the district and playoff part of the season.

oldrambler Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I of course will be pulling for Ashland. Graybeard is correct in that this game will help prepare the Tomcats for district play. I hope that Ashland can get a W but not so confident in this one. Hopefully that "Putnam Stadium Mystique" will come out and wake up the echo's of Great Tomcats past along with the current version and Ashland will get the win. (how's that for drama ) GO TOMCATS!!!
