Lawrence has some great players out with injury. I would say Ashland has to be the favorite. Ashland returns an all star team in the back field and receivers. If they develop that line they will be really strong and maybe even beat "the one who's name we can not mention" this year.

I have a ton of respect for both programs. Ashland and Lawrence both are deep in pride and tradition. I just read Rams post and did not realize that LC had any players hurt. I had a very good friend that was telling me about Ashland and the talent and all out speed they have at the skill positions. I know that both will play hard from start to finish, thats just the kind of kids they have along with great coaching. Now that I have crowned both as top tier programs I guess that I'll have to pick. I consider it a toss up but I will take the Tomcats by 6.

No. That's the "Other school". I was speaking of Ashland's nemesis - Matney's bunch.

Not to disagree with you oldramber, but I think if Ashland scores less then 30 in any regular season game this year they will be in trouble.

Totally out of character for you.

Had one of the Ashland skill kids in my office today, and he's very confident that the game will not be close and in their favor. That's always a good sign.

I’ve heard through the grapevine that the Tomcat coaches are happy with the play of their linemen. They’re small, but effective. It all starts at the LOS.

I believe the Tomcats will end the home consecutive win streak for the Dawgs and ruin the first game under the coaching regime.

I spoke to 3 Ashland coaches who were impressed with the line play in the Mason Co. scrimmage and were especially excited that all but one are Juniors.
