I’ve heard through the grapevine that the Tomcat coaches are happy with the play of their linemen. They’re small, but effective. It all starts at the LOS.

 

I don't think they're small. Actually they have good size and the way I've heard it the team overall is one of the strongest in the weight room in recent years.

Had one of the Ashland skill kids in my office today, and he's very confident that the game will not be close and in their favor. That's always a good sign.

 

I would expect that a Lawrence Co. player would say the same thing, except in their favor. My heart says Lawrence wins in a close one, but my head tells me that the injuries on LC won't let that happen. Ashland wins and ends the home winning streak for LC at 13.

Yeah, you know how it seems to run. You'll have a good run of lineman several years running then, you might be blessed with skill players for a while. Sometimes a really good stud QB will come along, know anybody like that? LOL

I just don't think the Dawgs will be able to get alot of offense without Bentley. My big question is can the Bulldog D hold this potent Tomcat attack...I have my doubts. I'll say Ashland but just can't come up with a score, too many varibles for 1st game.
