Final.

Raceland's defense has a good game. East scores were on a kick off return and a safety. The Rams controlled this one from the start imo, the defensive line owned the l.o.s., the offense had it's moments but were inconsistent.

Raceland Freshman Connor Messer had 2 interceptions, Raceland had 3 interceptions tonight.

Rams....it's 1-0!!........... Now get ready for the Tomcats.

Congrats to the Rams!

Was good to get a win, Raceland now goes on a five week road stretch which starts at Ashland next week, to Pikeville, to Portmouth East ,OH., to Lawrence Co., to Greenup Co. before coming back home in October to start distict play.

I think ths team can be a pretty decent football team by district play.

On a side note it was reported that the Rams/Rambler reunion went very well with over 250 former players, coaches coming in for it and the game along with many other Raceland alums and fans.

KUDO's to the RAMS TOUCHOWN CLUB and BGP'S Ram for getting this thing organized and making it a sucsess. :thumb:

I also wanted to say that East Carter has definately improved. Their kids played hard and did not quit. Things are most definately looking up for the Raiders!

Congratulations on the victory Rams. I enjoyed the reunion as well. Good to see Coach Ross, Hoof, Stanley and Pack. Brought back lots of great memories.

Congrats to the Rams on the win. They have some really nice players. Messer is going to be a very, very good player over the next few years. The Raceland backs ran well, the lines looked good, they should have a very good year.

Congrats Rams

E Carter has a nice back and some hitters. They will get better.

Enough of the nice stuff. The RAMS special teams got to get it together. Oh my!! The bright spot on S T's was the onside kick. A thing of beauty.

Two punt returns lost, kickoff returned for a TD, or was it a punt return. I was engaged in a trip to the RR., Letting the ball go out of bounds inside your own 10y l.

Good thing is. All can be fixed of course. Some nice openings opened up for our backs and some nice runs. The defense was put in some bad positions and fought through them all. Big test next week. Cut down those big special teams mistakes!

Reed is on his way to one heck of senior year!!! Congrats Rams on the "W"... East has some play makers, but their lines need to improve, but it is early and Raceland is one of the better teams they will face this year.

The great thing about this game is we get a win while gaining experience. The coaches learned alot about this team. The rushing game was very good. Almost six yards per carry. And three rushing TD's. D-backs played well. WE STAYED HEALTHY!!
