Johnson is good with the X's and O's. But what is going on with the team? Playing time for a couple of the starters seems to be getting less with each game. Are they not working hard in practice?

Probably both.

Rams get a rematch in about 2 weeks. They need to figure out how to attack the 1-3-1 before then.

Sweet shot from Tyler. Quick hands on defense. Really the only thing he needs to improve is ballhandling. But, he is young and it will come. He will be one of the top players in region the next 2 seasons, along with Jacob.

Rams played out of sync. I don't know. I think they went into it expecting an easy win. But, Green County took it to the Rams. The game was close the whole way. Raceland just couldnt seem to be able to hit the shots in crunch time. Green hit their free throws and hold on for the win. I think Raceland still advances to play Russell (tie breaker) at 8 for championship.

Great game. #5 for Boone getting into foul trouble killed Boone. He got early fouls and didnt get to play much at all. Russell was up 16 going into the 4th. #5 got to play the 4th and the Rebels cut the lead to 3 or 4. He then fouled out and Russell won. Vanhoose and Robinson played well tonight. Also Blair controlled the tempo for Devils.

I meant nothing negative. I cheer for Raceland and hope they do well in all sports. I merely pointed out an area that needed improving. The Rams have been very careless with the ball this season.

How am I putting him down? I said he will be a very good player when he learns to take care of the ball better. I didnt say anything negative. All I stated was that he had a lot of turnovers in this particular game. I know he's a good kid and player.Where did I say that he wasn't?

Sparks for Raceland had a great game. He kept driving the lane and scoring against their 1-3-1 and 1-2-2 defense. Rams had way too many turnovers. Their sophomore guard had to of had at least 10 turnovers himself. He is a good shooter and scorer. When he learns to take care of the ball better, he will be one of the better players in area. Phillips hit the glass hard tonight also , and young freshman Barker got a lot of quality minutes tonight. Barker will be a very good player when he gets a little stronger. IMO Holbrook gets sit down too much.

I'd say you would have to prove it against Raceland also.:argue:

Well, if it's part of the game, then why are some seem to be critizing the kicker. Evans is a great kid who gives his all. Me may have lost a little confidence, but maybe he felt coaches did too.

Rams will be strong on the mound. But hitting WILL be a concern. Martin did NOT hit over .400 last season. Morris is Raceland's best returning hitter. Raceland graduated their top 3 hitters ( Tolliver,Darby,and Miller).

Rams were too sloppy with the ball. A lot because of Russells defense. Rams will bounce back.

Raceland did control the tempo. Elliott may had gotten 35 rebounds, but how many were offensive? They didnt get many second chances. The Rams claimed most of the defensive rebounds.

Rams played TEAM ball and took down the Lions. Players of the game were Ferguson (Elliott) and Phillips (Raceland). Phillips had a double double with 12 points and 13 boards. Raceland hit the glass hard tonight and shot the ball well. Elliott ,IMO, really misses Weddington's reounding and inside presence. If the 3 is not falling, Elliott is beatable. Way to go RAMS.:dancingpa

The Rams will need some help from their offence to win this one. The D can not be expected to do it all. Raceland had very few yards against LCA. If they can run the ball and use the short passing game, they will be ok. Regardless who wins, NCC will know that the Rams will step up and do some hard hitting.

Sparks will be the key. He can score from anywhere. Mullins will run the point. Phillips is good rebounder and Holbrook is a slasher type player. This team should do as well as last years team.

A lot of turnovers.

This one sounds like a defensive game.

Just so everyones knows. I am a Raceland fan. I'm not a bandwagon fan. I support Raceland. All I said was that we can't approach LCA(if we get there) the same way as last time. I hope the Rams go all the way. But, just because i support them, doesn't mean I will always think they are going to win. I will ALWAYS hope for a Ram win though.

:eek: Now the Raceland fans will be on you. But I, like you, don't think the Rams will win , UNLESS, they use the short passing game more. And I don't mean quick screens to the WR. I mean short passes over the middle.

Rams dominate. They came out and played smash mouth football.
