I will say big upset as many thought it was Oldham's region to lose.

I understand that to a point, but my point is that the KHSAA could care less whether there is an All A tournament or not as it won't change their mind about classification. Honestly I guess it doesn't matter what keeps it away as we are not going to see classification anywhere in the near future and I for one am very glad for that.

Sorry it doesn't work like that. It would be too watered down and attendance would be so low which would generate less revenue than they normally take in from the regular Sweet 16. Boys' basketball will never go to classification because as I said it earlier it is the main revenue generator for the KHSAA, which means it is a safe bet the girls' side won't either.

If you don't think that money is the sole reason that the KHSAA doesn't go to classification, that just doesn't make sense. But hey believe what you need to in order to get thru the day. I will let the board member know they are not being honest. :lol2:

No offense, but it doesn't as I have talked to a KHSAA board member a few times over this subject. The All A has zero impact on the KHSAA's decision to not classify, it is about money plain and simple.

I actually like the All A, but it is not what is preventing classification as the KHSAA could care less about it. The reason there is no classification is because the Boys' Sweet 16 is the money maker and brings in over 65% of the total revenue for their fiscal year.

Please for goodness sake move on from this classification bologna. It's terrible for basketball and it's not gonna happen. It seems every few months this becomes a topic and all it does is sound like sour grapes by people that are upset that their little Johnny or Suzy got crushed by the big bad wolf(large school).

I actually think it is a guarantee of it being CovCath vs Cooper.

IMO. Nobody will come close to SK in the regional tourney.

I don't know what the rumor is and don't care as it's none of my business, but it doesn't matter either way because Dixie wasn't winning this game anyway. CovCath has the better team...plain and simple.

CovCath vs Cooper for all the marbles. Don't see anyone capable of stopping this match-up in the finals.

Holmes losing the district final actually gives them an easier road to the regional final.

About what I expected the score to be.

Cooper is heckava team no doubt. But Ryle's game plan to basically stall the ball and shorten the game did what for them? They still got crushed. I say let the kids come out and shoot and let the chips fall where they fall. I rather get beat by 30 knowing I was playing basketball and not doing that stupid keep away game. Just IMO

25 points total for a boys varsity game is embarrassing. Plain and simple!!

Harney absolutely killed Grant in the 3rd quarter. She got into a rhythm. I have seen some good ball players this year in the 8th region, but none of them even come close to Niece of SK. IMO. She is hands down the best player in the 8th!!

If Dixie draws Cooper or CovCath their season is over!!!
