Lawnboy13
Dawgs had this one won from the tip, has their speed and defense was just too much for the Colonels. Still trying to figure out why 4 of 5 Holmes starters play just about the whole game in a blow out win. :idunno:
Lawnboy13
Jaynice Stovall (Holmes) is really fun to watch, intense player.

allsport71
I don't get it either, why take a chance of getting someone hurt when your bench is not that deep, and why not give the other girls a chance to play when up 35. With that being said, I wish the Lady Bulldogs the best of luck, the future looks bright for Dixie as it seemed they have quite a few under class ladies playing. Pete Mitchell
Right or wrong, they have only played 7 players all year. Having seen them a few teams, with 40+ point leads and the starters on the floor at the final horn, I wonder why those last 5 kids are even there and dressed on the bench. Looking at the stats on the website it looks like they literally NEVER play. The other question that I think is fair is whether Tyra McClendon Engleman is eligible to play as a senior ... At least if it is accurate that she is already 19 years old and still classifies as a junior. Anyone know the answer to this?
Lawnboy13
Really hope everything is alright with Kamari Graham, she left the game in the late 1st or early 2nd quarter and never returned (looked like an elbow injury).....young lady is a player and only a sophomore. Pete Mitchell
If she is already 19 years old, this will be her last year of HS sports. There is an exception under the KHSAA bylaw that allows an exception if there was a documented learning disability while in grade school, so I was asking if anyone can confirm if (1) she is in fact 19 (I was told that by a very reliable source who should know ... But for full disclosure I have not seen a birth certificate) and (2) is she going to play as an exception to the bylaw.

I guess it could be a fair question, but your age assessment of her is incorrect.

If there is more to this young ladies situation, or if there are some extinuating circumstances, I don't think it is something that needs to be resolved or discussed on here. Voice of Reason
Pete knows these rules really well. Really well. If he says there is a problem or a loophole, then he is almost surely correct. However, if she is not 19 as LeeCorso seemed to indicate above, it is a moot point - unless she turns 19 before next year.
RCC9
I don't know the rules exactly, but I do know she is a much older JR. I don't really care either way. I love watching her play. So I'd love to see her another year. I can't believe this is the first time this has come up and my guess is she'll be allowed to play. I know the hold back was early and I don't think it was for sports. She was a cheerleader until someone talked her into playing basketball. Whoever that was is a very smart person!!! For me, I don't care who is out there really. Play whoever shows up!!! That's nothing against Pete. He is always inquisitive about unique situations and I'm sure is just asking for discussion purposes. If it's a touchy subject, then we just drop it. Sometimes these things are already known and just haven't been discussed on here. So I don't think there is harm in asking.
allsport71
I am sure Holmes has made sure all things are good, one game into the regional and this comes up, really?
