Top 34th district
Your right Lawson and Keener are big losses, but i wouldn't say they got nobody to replace them. And i'm not gonna mention the players you named but I will throw Kyle Kendall, Eflin Tyler, and Luke Mace name out their. Their gonna go through some growing pains but as the season goes these 3 will get better. Dixie has potential to be pretty big this year, so I guess we won't be seeing that 5 guard offense. Truthfully, their a year away.

Top Dogs and Under Dogs This season in the 9th
When you say sleeper and your talking about teams just making the region, then your right Dixie is not a sleeper, but if were talking about teams that could be better than expected and could possibly make some noise, then I would say Dixie is a sleeper. All depends on what you think a sleeper is, i'm sure everyone on here has a different opinion. On a side note, that is deffinetly one of the worst districts.

37 District/2006-2007
You made it sound like they weren't even one of the best, they might not always be the best, but i gurantee when you talk about teams that might be the best defensively Brossart and the Code boys will be included in that converstaion.

37 District/2006-2007
I'll say there one of the best defensive teams in the state, if the Code boys know anything its defense.

Congrats to the Dixie kids on a tough hard fought season. You played your tales off to the end. While the record does not show, you guys became men this season and earned everybodies respect. Congrats to New Cath, you guys play the game the right way and you got a new fan.

Austin Hill of Cov. Holmes..
Same guy.

Austin Hill of Cov. Holmes..
I agree, but he is probably a better football prospect in regards to D1 than he is basketball.

9th Region Outlook for Next Season
If Neimi doesn't return (after this year I probably wouldn't), It wouldn't suprise me to see Dave Henley out in union.

Dixie 54 Holmes 50
1) Did anybody notice Josh Keener get yanked out of the game and get his butt chewed for talking on the floor. Congrats Coach Chev, 4 seconds away from his biggest win as a coach, and he was teaching his players to do the right thing. 2) Dixie's JV Coach did a great job of diffusing the situation after the game, however all the coaches from both teams should of remained on the floor untill the players were off. Emotions were running high after that game and Dixie's JV coach (who looks pretty young himself) was the only coach out there.

9th Region Outlook for Next Season
I just know that despite the bulldog faithfull that talk about how close these kids are, there are a couple key components that don't want to be their playing on that team.

Dixie 54 Holmes 50
Been injured most of the season, and was playing JV to get back. Just started contributing at the varsity last 5 games.

9th Region Outlook for Next Season
Thats if they all make it back to the hardwood as bulldogs, coach included.

Dixie 54 Holmes 50
It's time to quit making excuses for the youngman and for him to start being held accountable for his actions. Col80 was right,9th region officials would not of made the call because they have been content with being shown up by him for 3 years now. The 5th region officials made the right call.

9th Region Draw and Predictions
Holmes has the talent to compete for a State title, While you think the arguing and what not is normal for these kids, I say that is what is going to be the difference in them meeting their potential.
-
CovCath 66 Cov. Holmes 47
With what Holmes accomplished as sophmores was remarkable, and when I speak of them underacheiving and not meeting there potential, that is because after the year they had last year, and the amount of talent they have, they should be competing for state titles, not just the region.
-
CovCath 66 Cov. Holmes 47
It is yet to be seen what benefits Dixie's schedule has had, and I never said Holme's played a week schedule. Just making the point that Dixie has given no reason for people to feel sorry for them because they drew Holmes. Dixie relishes the oppurtunity to overacheive, while Holmes seems to have become content with underacheiving.

9th Region Draw and Predictions
Holmes has the most talent, but right now they don't have the best basketball players, and they certainly don't have the best TEAM. Nobody will disagree in saying if Holmes plays to their ability they could represent the 9th very well, However can Holmes get out of their own way. Cov Cath and Highlands are teams, not a group of individuals. Championship teams don't fight each other on a nightly basis. Remember the article in the basketball preveiw when they discussed how they always fight, and they said if we quit fighting everybody should worry, Well I am sure every team in the region wants them to keep on fighting. You can't win on a consistent basis like that, and that will be the single reason why such a talented group of young men will never reach their potential.

I'm not trying to make excuses but.... That statement is always followed by an excuse.
