We got off topic in the Dixie Holmes thread ,thus, this thread.

Those are four very big losses...covcath may enter the pre season with the #1 ranking but simply because they will be the defending region champs (yes im predicting them to win this year). Holmes will be too deep and talented next year not to run away with the region....but thats if they can stay focused and avoid distractions.

 

The main losses for CCH will be Tim T and Danny Noll.

 

However, their JV is loaded with talent plus they have a lot of kids on the varsity bench this year that would be playing a lot elsewhere.

 

Sam Cahill will get a lot of PT next season and will be a matchup problem for many big kids in NKY.

 

Oh yeah, they also return TJ, Bo, and Schult from the starting lineup.

 

Once again - another great battle between the top two in the 35th.

True if they get everyone back and can learn how to cool their tempers, they will be pretty good. Especially going though what they went though i think it will make them better if they can learn from it.

I just know that despite the bulldog faithfull that talk about how close these kids are, there are a couple key components that don't want to be their playing on that team.

Edmonson should have stayed at SK...IMO

He had a great freshman year and he would have fit in well this year with Hester/ Hurd/ etc..... They could very well end up in Rupp also.

 

As far as next yr in the 9th..... Cov Cath & Holmes should be the early favs. I think Holmes will be on a rampage after losing early this year so CCH better lookout.

Sorrel and Ryan on the floor at the same time will be one of the more explosive 3pt teams in the region. They have a pretty experienced front court coming back and a very good jv team this year.

IMO the key for HC will be Eifert's development plus if the young kid can play PG at the varsity level agains top competition. If so, they will be tough. Although their bench seems like it might be short next season.
