Really? I thought HHS' JV team was very big. They did not look like the best basketball players, but I didn't think height would be a problem...

Wise (Junior) 6'5 was the big one playing center. The other tall kid (junior) 6'5 does not have the physical strength to bang inside. Stein (soph) 6'3? is a banger. Eaton 6'2 (soph) not an inside player. Rewording : after Wise there is a dropoff on inside play. That assuming Wise develops his game. Keep in mind none of these guys have any quality varsity experience at all.

They are physically mature but not very polished. It will take a lot of heart to score more than 40pts a game. The Jr class is just not there except for Wise and he needs to work on his offensive game.

 

I thought Holmes had a couple of nice JV players and CCH obviously will be the best JV team moving up throw in the Maile kid.

 

Watch out for Holy Cross too.. the Sorrell kid and Ryan are deadly at 3pt range and if Scruggs and Eifert develop they could be tough. Giwa will have to step in and play older than he is though.

The top freshmen teams of two years ago were CovCath, Ryle, NewCath, and Holy Cross. Many of the top players did not play freshmen ball. That being said, the top 3 should be CovCath, Holmes, and Holy Cross. I am not sure what has happened to a lot of Ryle and NewCath's talented players from 2 years ago, I guess they had hit the height of their physical development or went on the play football.

And for CovCath, after Jacobs, Bovard, and Schult, numbers 4-12 on the depth chart are very, very close in talent.

Holmes starting 5 next year will be:

 

Duran Jefferson

Austin Hill

Nate Edmondson

Arrez Henderson

Josh NElson (soph this year started in Rice place against bigger teams)

 

Their bench will be pretty deep and talented as well.

Braeon Avery (#11 younger brother of Bj), KeJuan Arnold (#24) , Terrence Clark (#44 played varsity this year as big man) will all be key contributers next year. IMO the Holmes team next year will be one of the deepest that i can remember in the past couple years...Henley will have the luxury next year of throwing kids out left and right. If im not mistaken the sophomores this year on holmes team had an aau team that won state last year or the year before w/ henderson. This team will be good next year..if they play as a TEAM.

I'll believe it when I see it. To believe it, you are saying that the family will sell their house (remember, that's a requirement now) and physically move into another school district.

Those are his and his families intentions, not saying it will happen, but that plan on doing that

not gonna comment on the edmondson issue but i can say its legit...he's still undecided but will make a decision soon

As said before the biggest key for hc will to develop Eifert...If they do they will be front runners...Wich Goetz is all capable of...:

I have no idea if this will happen or not, though. Quite frankly he's much better off sticking it out @ Holmes.

I can confirm that dixie and sk are not either of his choices...he WILL NOT be suiting up for either of those two schools next year for a fact...i have a pretty good idea of where he will go IF he even leaves Holmes...he is still undecided and thats all i will say...but im pretty confident we'll see him in red and white next year though
