Edmonson will have to sitout next year unless his move is farther than a neighboring town. The kid has moved to much and he will have to prove a legit reason to move.

As far as I know Edmonson plans on transferring and I have heard this from many sources

Holmes will be too deep and talented next year not to run away with the region

 

That's what people were saying about Holmes this time last year. I'm not sure if the same Bulldogs that took the floor this year will be the Bulldogs of 2007. They went through a lot off the floor this season, and to see some major changes wouldn't shock me.

 

CovCath will probably be the favorite going in. Followed closely by Highlands, and probably Holmes and Dixie.

As for next years top teams, I won't put a number beside them yet, but let me throw out a few.

 

Top Contenders: Holmes, CovCath, Holy Cross.

 

Next group: Boone, St. Henry.

 

Knocking on the top five's door: Dixie, Highlands, NewCath.

 

Wildcard: Ryle, let's see how this all shakes out. They could be in either of the latter two groups depending on how things go in the offseason.

If he transfers he WILL NOT be sitting out :sssh: thats all i can say for now b/c like i keep saying, he is still undecided...but i definetly agree he should just stay his senior year...they will be getting alot of attention next year b/c of all the big d1 school already recruiting DJ and the problem he had is now gone from holmes so he should just stick it out and finish up a nice career with the kids he's played his whole life with

Trust me they will be better next year...that loss in the first round just made them want it badder for next year to prove a point...also their sophomore class was state champs at the aau level either this past summer. The team included Braeon Avery, Arrez Henderson, Terrence Clark, and Josh NElson, all who scored in the championship game.

Highlands loses way too much to compete with those other 2 IMO.

ftballstud06, you are convinced that Holmes will be loaded with depth next year. I don't know where these claims are coming from. I saw Holmes's JV, and, while they have some talented JV players, I can't imagine them being big Varsity contributors. Seems like they will all be role players, and, like the end of this year, teams will focus down on Hill, Jefferson, and Henderson. Unless they can add a 4th consistent scorer with good outside shooting ability who is not considering leaving (like they had in Edmonson) then they could struggle to beat Holy Cross in districts.

What about hc!!...jim ryan..scruggs..giwa..sorrell...eifert...with a 6th man 6'5 sullivan who plays all different spots

I can confirm that dixie and sk are not either of his choices...he WILL NOT be suiting up for either of those two schools next year for a fact...i have a pretty good idea of where he will go IF he even leaves Holmes...he is still undecided and thats all i will say...but im pretty confident we'll see him in red and white next year though

Don't you think that is what Holmes needs though is good role players?

I think with what happened to Nate this year after the HHS game which I am sure could be documented would warrant a move to another school. I am also sure there are other instances that he could bring to the KHSAA offices to support a move. But you are correct, since the HHS Mitchell case... they are crackin down.
