Of course, if I was from 41075, I'd only be thinking about this year as well. Next year will be a struggle.

 

With the style of basketball that Schlarman and company play, they'll still be very competitive. Not as talented as this year, but competitive.

IMO the key for HC will be Eifert's development plus if the young kid can play PG at the varsity level agains top competition. If so, they will be tough. Although their bench seems like it might be short next season.

Actually the bench might be stronger, if the strong freshman class devolps as well as the couple sophs on the roster.

 

I'm confident in the frontcourt of Scruggs,Eifert, and Sullivan being ready.

 

The key to next year is your right Sheena Giwa. If he is ready, HC should be voted as a top 3 or 4 team.

Yes BJ is, but there isn't that big of a drop off to his little brother who took over his role most this year Braeon who is a sophmore.

I would say they look at TT before looking outside the district but why would Henley abandon a group of SR's who got him to state as Sophs? That doesnt make sense. After next year, he may jump ship.

McGraw and Simpson will be the anchors but they need to get some key role playing from guys like Zach Hurtt, Luke Stein, HeMan (forgot his name) pG, and hope that Josh Conner current Frosh steps in and gives them some good minutes. If I was Scott Wise, I would try to improve my game over the summer because he has great athleticism and a Zach Kiernan type body.

Heman is Ryan Ball. Michael Eaton is the most skilled player on the JV. Needs to improve physical stength a little. Lots of question marks for next year. Being most of the guys play football, I don't know how much their basketball improves.

Lets hope it doesn't come to that. I really don't think the Birds are going to be to that bad next year. A lot hinges on Wise, after him there is not much height to speak of. What they may lack in offensive firepower, will be made up on tenacious D, and tremendous effort. This is a group of kids that fight and scratch to the very end. Willie will love this team's desire and heart. All of that can go a long way in high school basketball.

Really? I thought HHS' JV team was very big. They did not look like the best basketball players, but I didn't think height would be a problem...
