Franklin County is at 21 and Mason County is at 9. I know it was just one game, but FC beat them head-to-head on a neutral court and FC hasn't lost to a KY team yet. I believe they are a bit underated.

Flyers rebound from a tough loss is round 1 of the Stop DWI Holiday Tourney in Binghamton, NY to manhandle Simon-Gratz out of Philadelphia. The Flyers played well in spurts, but could have easily won by much more. Barrett Meyer hit 4-3 pt. field goals, and finished with 16 points. Andy Donovan chipped in 15 points. Ryan Conner finished with 8 points and 11 boards. The Flyers face Wings Academy out of the Bronx, New York tomorrow at 11:30am.

Jamesville-Dewitt is currently ranked #1 in Class A in New York, and have a 26 game winning streak. They have Brandon Triche, a Syracuse signee, who had 22 against the Flyers. FC played poorly for 3 quarters, and then came alive and cut the lead to 4 before falling to Dewiit. Vance Hall had 21, Barrett Meyer 16, Deron Hicks 15, and Andy Donovan chipped in 12 points and 10 boards.

He played, but did not score.

They have everyone back from last year. They had no seniors on that team.

That! or wondering if Euton can really play at UK's level. I think he is a good player. However, the 3 games I have watched or listened to Scott County play this season, he has been mid-major at best.

He was probably thinking, "Man I screwed up!"

Holmes is trying to choke!

Up Tempo?? They only scored 54 points. If it was up tempo, they must have shot about 20% from the field.

This is their last year of their probationary period, and they will be a full member of the KHSAA next season.

I don't think that illustrates bad officiatiing clearly. If they had been good officials they would have called the first 50 times Trinity set an illegal screen. They did it all night and it only got called a few times. The officiating didn't help or hurt one team more than the other. It wasn't tremendous either way. Good game and against two good teams.

The more the hype, the harder the fall will be!

Wow! So the game plan was good, and the players made FC lose by 42 points. Talk about the buck stopping nowhere! It does sound like there is a leadership problem, as mentioned a previous post, but I don't think I have ever heard of a good game plan that ended in a 42 point butt whooping on your home field. YIKES!

Actually Deron Hicks was the MVP of the 41st district for Franklin County. I agree that Barrett Meyer and Tyler Rogers should be on any list of the top players in the region.

I would agree with this, except I think Tates Creek maybe a little better than Madison Central.

I would have to say its still the 11th. (1) Scott County - Loaded (2) Franklin County - Returns everyone (3) LexCath - They don't rebuild, they reload (4) Dunbar - Final 4 of region last year, Hudson returns (5) Tates Creek - Great young players return (6) Bryan Station - Very athletic team (7) LCA - A couple of very good young players. Played very well during the summer (8) Henry Clay - Very talented freshmen team last season (9) Madison Central - Some quick athetes, along with Keyshawn Simpson in the paint (10) Lafayette - Some nice young players return (11) Woodford County - Return a lot of experienced players (12) Western Hills Some athletic guards, along with Mike Satterwhite(top 10 rebounder in state last season) I think at any given time throughout the season there will be 5-7 in the top 25, and 3-4 in the top 10. Brutal year in and year out!

Franklin County will either be extremely prepared or extremely tired come Friday night. The have been practicing ridiculous hours this week. Not sure what the limits for practice are, but they have to be really close to maxing out those hours.
