I would not put Mason Co in the top ten at this time. They will be a good team as always , but I feel they lost too much last year to be pre-season top ten. You left out John Hardin which I feel could be a top 5 team in the state. Also don't see Madisonville-North Hopkins in top ten. Yes Hood is good, but I feel they are not even top in thier region.

I am sure when filling out a top 10 list that the people are feeling like what they think should be their top 10 list and not what others think. Need not to worry abut the defending state champion Mason County Royals, they will be in the mix of things when it is all said and done. Tradition Never Graduates!

They won't make it out of their region this year, IMO.

North Hardin is top 5. No teams in top 5 from state's toughest region. Manual nearly double digit wins against top 10 and top 20 teams last season. Jeffersontown returns all starters (except Gagel) and adds a top player in the state.

I agree with you. I am tride and true Royals fan but I have to let my head over rule my heart here. A top 10 team at this time, NO, a top 20 team at this time, YES.

I agree, also teams that needs mentioning is the 5th regions top 3 teams, Adair Co, John Hardin( which I mentioned above) and North Hardin which I feel are fairly equal talent wise. PRP will also be good, very tuff region to advance to the state from. There is alot of good top level teams in the state this year.

Did John Hardin get some major transfers in I'm not aware of? They weren't much last year (10-18), not even making it to the region, and they lost the only coach in school history to Nelson Co. They'll be in major rebuilding mode.

 

North Hardin and Bardstown are the powers of the 5th Region, with Central Hardin and Adair Co. as dark horses.

Well Mason County deserves some love after all they are the defending state champs. Of course Russ Middleton will be the focal point of the offense and I think he has what it takes to put them in the top 10 even though the royals lost 4 of the 5 starters from last season. Also Madisonville-Norht Hopkins I know as a whole is not the best team in their region but because they are blessed with Jon Hood on their roster who is nationally ranked. I think his team has to be in the top 10 if he is ranked on Rivals as high as he is.
