The better team won in the end. Hills made it an ugly game, but in the score reflected the correct outcome. FC had 33 fouls called on them, while Hills had 29. Both team shot and made the exact number of free throws, so they were just a wash. It just made for an ugly game. Hall had 25 and Riddle had 24(2 fgs) for each team.

I totally disagree. They didn't look gassed. Terrible call on an obvious charge, and then a 3 point play on the a drive where the guy took at least 3 steps before he shot the ball and was fouled. Those two plays totally threw the momentum towards J-Town. FC only had 12 turnovers and most of those were unforced. J-Town's pressure didn't seem to affect FC.

Some very questionable calls in the 4th quarter swung the momentum to JTown. JTown outplayed FC in the 1st quarter, but FC was clearly the better team in the 2nd and 3rd quarters before the 4th quarter rolled around. Vance Hall was the best player on the floor hitting 11-14 shots from the field. Thomas Jackson gutted out some 4th quarter cramps and hit his free throws down the stretch.

Ricardo Johnson has to be the favorite. He is the reigning MVP of the State Tourney, been to the state Final 4 two years in a row, and will be a favorite to win the tourney again this year. He has to be the front-runner out of the gate!

Black and Blue uniforms? I believe a lot of the Cats' fans on here have poked fun of or hammered Duke for wearing those in basketball! Its funny that is it now OK and even cool to wear them if it is UK.

Final! County gets Hills in the Districts for the 2nd straight year after losing both regular season games.

According to KHSAA Website, there are 4 undefeated teams left in the state 9th Region - Covington Catholic is 11-0 10th Region - Bourbon County is 7-0 11th Region - Franklin County is 10-0 13th Region - Bell County is 5-0

This was total domination. WHHS had their will taken away after County put up a 10 spot in the first inning. Howard had a great play up the middle for the Flyers. Hills too many mistakes.

I personally feel like Wall is waiting for Ty Lawson to declare for the NBA before he commits to UNC!

I am not sure which all-star game you are talking about. The KABC east-west all star game was held between the state-semifinals and finals at Transy. The KY-OH all-star game was held last Saturday night. The KY-IN all-star tryouts for the summer's games are this coming weekend at Campbellsville. If it is something else you are interested in, I would have to dig deeper.

They don't shorten the court. It is UK's court they play on. It is a college floor.

They don't change the court for the state tourney. It is UK's Cawood Court that is the playing surface for the state Tourney.

Football doesn't bring in the most money. Basketball does! Check the number of home games!

Its not the football team's weightroom. It is the athletic fieldhouse. Football is not the only sport that lift weights or uses the fieldhouse at FCHS or at any other school. If football is the only team that lifts weights at your school, please send me contracts for every other sport at your school. I will make sure every sport's team in Franklin County signs up your high school's teams.

Coaching staffs decide the all-tourney team, but the MVP vote is by the media. In this case the reps from the state-journal and woodford-sun decided the MVP for the 41st District.
