I am hearing the complete opposite. I have many coaches in the 10/11 grateful that the KHSAA finally made this move and mandated that each region go out of region for officials. (1) The officials during the regular season don't have to buddy up to certain coaches so they don't get scratched for the regional tournament. (2) Too many officials in the BBA are front runners. They know who is supposed to win, and they call games accordingly. (3) Every year the regional finals are not called by the top 3 officials in the region, because they have been scratched by 1 or more the schools in the finals. A couple of years ago, the 11th final was called by 3 guys who weren't even in the top 5. (4) Finally, the way the state tournament officials are selected is a complete joke. They are not all the #1 or # 2 guys in the region. In the 10/11, the top 6 were giving to the KHSAA and they picked 2. Terry Smith is a good official, and called the state tournament 2 years ago. Bo Queen, well, not so good. Bart Lennox is the #1 official in the region, but he is calling the NAIA tournament so he will not be there.

MUGGINGS???? Not sure which game you were at, but GRC got away with murder, especially in the 2nd half. Rogers, Zollo and Purvis had a combined 4 fouls for the game. Rogers should have had that many by himself in the 1st half. GRC had only 10 fouls called on them total for the game. GRC shot 32 free throws, compared to 9 for Franklin County. Right??? FCHS sure benefited from silent whistles.

I agree that its a two horse race, but its Knipp and Behanan battling for it. After watching all the top players play togehter with the junior all-stars this summer and in AAU, I think Behanan is clearly the most talented player in the class with Knipp a distant second.

Kicked a rule, not the game. The two incidents mentioned are not even close to being the same. One affected a possesion, the other affected the outcome of the game!

Vance Hall from Franklin County was the best player on the floor for either team. He was named MVP for the East Team. The West team MVP was Donovan Gibbs of Iroquois. I don't think anyone was keeping stats that are posted anywhere. They were keeping them at the table for the purpose of choosing the MVP's, but that is about it.

I agree! I believe the bigger picture is the integrity of the association as a whole, and no action is worse that a little refiguring for one post-season.

This post leads into my point exactly. The NFL crew you speak of did call games again, but they were suspended from post-season that year. They were held accountable for their mistake, and then they moved on. That is all I am saying. There is no way any member of the crew from the FC vc HC game should have been calling the very next game in the tournament or any game the rest of this post season. That is simply saying that the actions of the referees don't mean anything and they are not accountable for what they do.
