Thats pretty close. About 4 1/2 hours in a car without stopping from Russell to Bowling Green. Add another hour for Belfry or Pikeville.

I don't agree with it but it might provide a chance to look at how the pieces would fit together for next year. Give the coaches a good idea about who might play where. I am assuming this to be the case since it was said that it was all starters that were not seniors.

Russell - Will Rice and Kamron Smith. Both are starting at linebacker right now and have played very well.

Shoot, I'll complain. Belfry's got a nice place to play but I'd rather stay home anyday. Thats a long drive if the teams both make it that far. If they both do I think the Pirates should offer to play at Russell as a show of good sportsmanship since we had to travel there last year.

West Carter has some good players and pretty good size. They can move the ball on offense. The big win over East proves they are dangerous but the big loss to fairview shows how vulnerable their defense is. Raceland should in by 2-3 TDs. Sometimes a good team can make things look worse than they really are.

I think Raceland will do well in the playoffs. They have two solid RBs that run hard and break tackles. They swarm to the ball on defense and play very hard as team. They just as well could have trouble with a pretty good Fairview team.

Noone from either school has said anything about recieving bad calls or the officiating being one sided. Stating facts about the game that contradict some statements earlier in the thread about turnovers and penalties seeming only to cost Raceland seems to have ruffled a few feathers though. It is a fact that turnovers were almost even (Raceland 2 Russell 1)until late in the game when Russell got the big lead. It is also a fact that Russell was penalized almost as many times as Raceland and for more yards.

This game sounds alot like the Russell/East Carter game earlier in the year.

2 of Raceland's interceptions came in the fourth quarter when they were down three TDs and had to try to make something happen. Penalties were about even. Russell also turned the ball over in Raceland territory in the first half. Way to bounce back David Bailey. Russell's number one back has differed from game to game this year. Bailey had the big game last night. Abrams and Bates both ran hard and came up with big plays. You really can't key on any one guy.
