Disappointing decision by the coach if he had enough JV players to field a team.

 

It also reeks of stupidity when you consider the risk of injury to a varsity player in a JV game.

The only two teams in 5A that didn't make the playoffs, and have already played their 10 games are Ashland and Grant County. Going back and looking at sportsmaniac's post I would have to say it's Grant County.

I don't agree with it but it might provide a chance to look at how the pieces would fit together for next year. Give the coaches a good idea about who might play where. I am assuming this to be the case since it was said that it was all starters that were not seniors.

You have enough info to figure it out. I just want to know opinions the team should not matter. Yes - these players started varsity and played tonight. Starting qb on varsity played some snaps on JV tonight. Maybe "giantkiller" can fill us in. In all his posts, he seems to be very close to the head coach.

Well I dont agree with this. I believe the kids on JV that has played and started are now sitting the bench for kids that played on varsity. My opinions on coaches styles havent gone to good so I am going to leave it at that.

I think he said it was over , but the last game would be a bye week.

I do remember in 2002 CCH and Grant ended the regular season on a Saturday. They agreed to play a JV game and Grant County's varsity showed up.
