Feel the Love for the Kenton Co. Schools !:lol2: Not sure of there record last year , but I think Scott should be on the up-swing for the next few yrs. I know they had close to 30 girls at tryouts this year. Looks like they got a good young talent pool coming into the program. I can say at least 8 or 9 of the younger ones have fast pitch experience. I think they only have 1 , maybe 2 seniors this year with 7 or 8 jr's and sophomore's. The rest are freshman and under.

Camels are playing well right now , I can see this for the finals and an upset !

That she does , one of the best in the state.

Dixie should be very strong for the next few years. A lot of young talent.

Great job Hannah Dossett for that 1000 pt.and Gallatin for 20 win season! Sounds like 2000 is well within reach !!

And if time allowed and numbers permitted, I'd prefer to move a kid up and give them an opportunity. I don't really look at grades at all. I look at skill level. This is a great point RCC9 , If time is allowed and numbers permitted in all sports move them up . That just builds your team for the future , look at the skill level of the players. Just because your in middle school, doesn't mean your slower or smaller than the freshman girls. Or you can't play with them . From what I've seen these girls they moved up got the same skills most Jv and Varsity players have. The Varsity team is getting on a roll, they can't afford to move anyone back this time of the year just to win a freshman tournament. From last year to this year they've taken a big step in the right direction , why would they want to go backwards. They have great talent in the pipeline moving up , not down!

What it comes down to, is it just wasn't there night on the floor. Lose with class and win with respect. No excuse ! I've seen the same girls play all year with that team and they've come along way. Its hard when you only have 6 or 7 girls and teams want to run you up and down the floor. Since X-mas and the end of the middle school season, coaches have brought up girls to fill the bench . Its makes a big difference when your not dead dog tired by the end of the game. So you can run them and press them the same as they do you. Is this truely about girls moving up or down? Or just I want my team to get an easy win. I'm starting to wonder !:ohbrother:

This is starting to get funny now, this is a great topic that could go on forever with great points. But point is there's no truth to the whole thing for Friday night. The team in question Varsity's team was playing at the same time. They have 2 seventh graders and 3 freshman playing alot of varsity minutes. They don't have all these so called freshman studs to be moving all around. There starting freshman team is one 8th grader and 4 freshman that have played all year together. The 6 middle school girls that have been asked to fill the bench have all been playing AAU together since they where 6 yrs old. They have alot of talent moving up ready to step in and play. And your right , just remember the karma thing for the last couple of years.

That may be true what your saying on teams, but if we're talking about that night, The team that won has had the same team playing together all year, 6 or 7 girls. Now they did move up middle school girls to fill in on the bench. How do we mistake middle school girls for Jv / Varsity players? I got see both games and both could have went either way.

What team's are we talking about in this tournament ? I seen NC beat Dixie and Scott beat Brossart ? I know Dixie was up on NC at half and gave up the lead late in the game. And Scott lead Brossart pretty much the whole game. Scott had some middle school players on the bench , but didn't Scott play Cooper last night in JV / Varsity . I think Dixie and NC both played Varsity games too. So what are we talking about , middle school girls getting moved up at year end or did NC move players down? If they played Freshman / JV all year what"s the big deal. Almost every team in the area bounce players between JV/Varsity and Freshman/JV.
