Congrats to these young ladies and coaches on an amazin feat!

They are the best girls team I've seen in a LONG time.

Great team should win it all this year. Will be in major trouble in the future.

Can anyone in Kentucky beat them in the postseason? Who would be the primary challengers?

Care to explain?

No one in Kentucky can beat or challenge them.

I am not an ardent follower of HS girls basketball, but the margin of victory of this team begs the question,

Are they the best Kentucky high school team ever (at least during the regular season)?

MOST WINS - ALL-TIME

Wins School (Years), Overall Record; 2011-12 Record

596 Hart County (1975- ) 596-436; 16-16

Trouble in the Future Huh? I am sure they will drop off tremendously from the past few years (who wouldn't?), found this and it is pretty interesting. Overall, they seem to win games over their history. Also, I think if they win region, it will be the schools 8th overall, 4th in a row in which NO TEAM in 5th region history has ever accomplished (BOYS OR GIRLS) Shouldn't be in too much trouble-Marion will still be top 5 in the 5th region, Larue County (which has never won a regional title in Girls) should be the favorite in 2014-they will have the best two players in region.

Awesome job Marion County!

Great research and thx for info Frank James! Now about next year, IMO I think Etown will be the top gun in the 5th followed by Larue. Both teams will have dynamic duos of Boley and Cleaver for Etown, and Brown and Brewer for Larue. However, Etown will have better guards and that's why I would give them the edge. If a lot of Hodgenvilles talent hadn't of bolted to neighboring Etown, no doubt Larue would be team to beat hands down for next several yrs. But that's another topic but i'm sure Panther Pride would have to agree that I do have a very valid point lol. Just teasin Panther. Gd luck to all the teams in district and regional play!!

I have to agree with you madman. Although upsets of major proportions can pop up the radar, it appears that all other teams in the Bluegrass are playing for 2nd place. Sooooo ... who seems to be the most likely runner-up?

Who's playing for runner-up? It is a crap shoot. I think any one of the top 5 or 6 rated teams could get the 2nd place trophy.

Impressive to say the least... Congrats :thumb:

I would imagine they will go on and win the State Championship and go undefeated but hey, we play the games for a reason and crazier things have happened in Girls basketball across the Commonwealth this yr...

Congrats to Marion County! They will most likely win state but in a tournament with one loss you are out, anything can happen.
