    The O-line Ashland used last night did not have a player who started there last year.

    He may well have a winning record against the Cat's but to use the word "control" may be going a little bit far. Should be a great game again this year as was last years.

    If we are going to be a running team I would want Drew McDavid as the QB. On the other hand if we are going to be throwing I would want Drew catching.

    Well, I would say we are a little rusty but, after all it is still spring. Hope to improve during two a days this Aug. Our coaching record is still intact we have not lost a game!!!! :ylsuper:

    Five touchdowns sounds good but, he played for both teams. Maroon team played terrible. Most railbirds felt they were a two touchdown lock before the game. I guess we felt size would win out. Very bad pass defence by maroon.

    You just have to see the hair! Jay is living on the streets as much as I can tell. He did get some items from some Ashland fans but they were stolen later the same day. He did say he could still run the wishbone!!! On another note: Kovach and Harkins had something in common, they threw a baseball left handed and shot basketball right handed.

    Jeff came to Poage in the 5th grade. I see Jay Shippey every now and then. It is hard to believe it is the same person that I went to school with. He still speaks often of Herb Conley and how much he looks up to him.

    Jeff Kovach started in the ninth grade. I disagree with the statement he was a late bloomer. How is the attendance at Ashland's games this year? I have a hard time going to watch a game that has the winning team scoring less than 50 points.

    It's put up or shut up time for the Cats. When this group of seniors to be were in the 7th grade we knew they were going to be good. They have NOT lived up to what they can, and should be. It's time they get their act togather and play like they can. Hit the weights hard and have a great spring practice and kick some butt this fall. Go out winners!

    Great job Russell !!!!!! Enjoy the feeling of the championship over the winter and into the spring and summer. You will have the "target" on your back come fall. Looking forward to our game next year.

    What does the Tomcat nation think of this: Matt Thomas at QB and we run the option with Davis and Neathercut as backs. Drew at TE.

    It helps when a broadcaster knows the players he is talking about. That is why I think Dicky Martin stands out. He can give you more than what they do on the field. He can tell the fans at home stories about the person, not just the player.

    Drew McDavid is a game breaker. He ran down Blume and had a 100+ interception return.
