Several teams have won a state championship that DO NOT run the spread offense. I have watched it for over 30 years. I have seen a few teams run the spread and lose it because of that. They get on the one yard line and line up in shotgun. They didn't know how to get under the center and punch it in.

The other QB did a great job after Hooker's injury. Clay Co returns the best backfield in the district and some good lineman. Losing every game in the district last year doesn't mean they will not return and win 1st place.

Who will replace Ray Graham? Does C. Cotton plan to stay on the coaching staff? I have heard he may apply for some jobs.

How can you over work your team? I think injuries have been a big problem over the past years to some great running backs, but I don't think it was because of overworking them.

I didn't think Roark was taking the job. Clay Co is the team to lookout for next year. Don't know about the others.

2009 was a terrible year for Lincoln Co football. Are they out of talent or what? What do they have returning? It seems they are good a couple of years and then bad a few. No consistency in the program for some reason.

Lynn Camp needs to keep doing what they have been doing for years and that is get every single kid they can out for football and work their butts off. Mitchell and staff has always done a terrific job with their team at Lynn Camp. I don't know what they have returning next year, but I bet the kids will play hard and knock your head off.

If Coach Turner is the choice I want to wish him the best of luck. I know he is great person and coach and will do a good job a Bryan Station. I have always believed there is a lot of talent at BS and it needs a coach that will teach the kids to play hard and play to win. I know also that 6A is tough and it is hard to compete with the other schools on the schedule. Go with the kids that really want to dedicate themselves and forget some of the so called athletes that are out there for themselves.

Where is Bethelem? I know they have a pretty good football program. Just wondering where are they located. What class are they?

Ray would be a great choice. Good coach and one heck of a person.

Who will be the top receivers?

The reason they got beat last year was simply a matter of overlooking the opponent and lack of focus on the game. All Hines and community preached about all week was the camera deal. If the coach would have concentrated more on what he needed to do to win, then PC would have won. I don't call that very good coaching tactics at all. Then when it is over he tries to blame everything else on the loss when actually it was him that caused PC to lose. PC came out fired up whooping and hollering and thought they were going to run all over NL and tried to use anger as a means to win. It doesn't work that way. A good coach would have not let that happen.

Chris is a class act. I would love to have my son play for him.

People are looking for drama in the school system. Bad profession to be in unless you want to walk the straight and narrow path. Good luck on the facilities. What does it include?

The district will be up for grabs next year. There are a couple of teams that probably would rank higher, but overall it will be close. NL has a great chance to make the playoffs. They were only two plays away this year of being there.

Just tailgate two hours and forget the banquet meal. Proceed with the awards and films, etc.
