Bethlehem is a Class 1A Catholic school located in Bardstown.

He's been the DC at Bardstown for the past 11 years, the last few also as assistant head coach. He also was an assistant at Central Hardin and North Hardin back in the day.

They'll be sticking with the Franklin spread offense that prior coach Torzewski installed before the 2009 season. Koontz talks about it some in the article I linked to.

Let's hope he plans on running a more sound technique based defense than he has been running @ Bardstown. They ran the man to man confusion defense that lacked superior athletic ability that is needed to run that D.

I think that had less to do with scheme than the fact that B'town has struggled on the D-line the past two seasons.

 

Kerry Overfelt will still be DC next year for Bethlehem, so I don't foresee a switch for another year or so. Bethlehem ran a 4-4 most of the time last year, if my memory is correct, and we'll see more of the same this coming season.
