  1. Get on with the thread. Start your own thread pc.
  2. Why didn't Hines want to play Rock freshman/JV for several years? It was because he got beat one year and refused to play them for about 10 years. Only 30 minutes away and wouldn't play because he got beat one year. Plus he wouldn't schedule varsity either. Why not? It was close and could have been a very good rivalry. Why wouldn't he do that? Does anyone know?
  3. I think NL will be much improved next year. They lost some quality players but have a lot returning, plus the players have bought into what it takes to be winner. A better attitude will be seen from the very beginning. They may not finish the season as well as they did this year, but who knows it could even be better.
  4. Boyle Co won the game in the closing second. They won the game and handed Bell Co a defeat. I didn't say they beat them to death up and down the field, even though they should have.
  5. NL outplayed PC and won the game. NL was more prepared mentally and physically. A school has the right to buy out a contract. It happens all the time. The decision was a good one.
  6. Organization and discipline would be a big factor with the number of players they have on their team. That is when a good head coach is needed. His assistants must be the best at what they do and dedicated to the program.
  7. Dudley Hilton, the second winningest coach in the state, if you can get him.
  8. You can get on here for days and express why so and so was not on the team, but the fact is KY played with the players that was chosen by the committee. Now, the question is, did the coaching staff use the ability of the players on the team to win this game. I know there were some great running backs on the team but the coaches chose to throw the ball about 80% of the time from the shotgun and the center snap was either too low or over the head of the QB. A 4-3 defense was required of both teams with no blitz allowed. Why not take your running game and just run it down their throats?
  9. You hit it on the head Mountain Thunder.
  10. Lower your pay and schools might be able to pay for 7 officials.
  11. Strong compared to Highlands (NO) but very strong district for Eastern KY. As a matter of fact, there were not any teams in E.KY that you could say were really strong. Bell Co. was pretty good but Boyle Co handed it to them.
  12. Danville basketball is not going too well either.
  13. The nomination forms are sent to the coaches in late Oct and must be returned Nov 1. The coach can nominate two players. The information about the $300 is on the nomination forms. I would assume the players would be told by their coach. Being nominated does not guarantee the player will be chosen.
  14. Plus Austin Short and T.J. Green. All three are deserving from Harlan Co.
  15. I appreciate Jody for all the years that he has spent in putting together an all state team where the coaches can vote for the players they have seen during the year. Keep it up Jody!
  16. Been around a long time and I have never seen a woman that could line up and play football in the trenches with the men. It will never happen. I know this age is coming to a lot of women taking over jobs that men had, but they will not be able to line up and play FOOTBALL the way it is supposed to be played. Administration and possible a President one of these days, but never on on the football field.
  17. The only problem is that some of the players that are chosen do not get any playing time. How can a college coach look at players that are standing on the sideline? Is it worth $300 for them? This is from someone that has experienced all this.
  18. It was $300 last year. I was told the price may come down after a few years with getting more sponsors.
  19. After a player plays 4 years of football at the school and has the opportunity to play in this game, he deserves some help on financial help if he is not able to pay. A lot of businesses or the booster club should pitch in and help. That should be the least the community could do to help a kid that has devoted so much time to the program. Don't leave them hanging out in the cold.
