I felt I was right on, I knew Somerset was reloading from last year, I didn't think they would honestly win but I knew they would be there in the end.

I'll eat crow, must have been a great game.

North Laurel's defense held PC's offense to 1 reception for about 8 yards. They were kept in check, they only have up 27 points on defense, pretty food considering this was a high powered monster rolling into London. North Laurel only punted 1 time. Awesome game throughout.

The same could probably be said for Corbin but Harlan County had 2 major starters out and had some real young kids seeing thier first varsity action, getting lined up late and being nervouse caused some havoc in the 1st quarter, but after that they calmed down and shut everything down inside and out. Other than those 2 long runs I cannot think of anything Corbin did that stood out really, but it was just a scrimmage and neither coach is famous for going out there and trying to light up the scrimmage. It wil be hard to stop Harlan County and their offense on the ground for less than 3-4 yards when they start incorporating thier entire offense when the regular season rolls around, some big lineman and quick backs. A #2 preseason BGP Corbin team and an under-rated #18 Harlan County team, just thought I would mention that since I felt the Bear were a bit smudged in the rankings.

I've spoken with about 3 people who have seen them first hand and have felt they are going to be extremely tough, very fast and big. Guess, we'll have to wait and see.

It is the companies they should be going after if anyone, because their selection is all the schools have to go on, not to mention for example how could Clemson copyright that black paw, that Lynn Camp uses, it is a claw and it would be very easy to continue to make it look very similiar, there isn't a whole lot you can do to make it look different.

What kind of respect isn't Bell County getting this year? I've heard nothing but praise for this team from fans all over the commonwealth. Just because they are not being picked to win this game by the majority of the people voting doesn't show disrespect, it shows that Bell County is simply the under dog, that happens sometimes when you play teams that are good.

C'mon LMB, Bell County is bigger than one man, Greer was the guy then and he is still on the staff, so he must have pretty capable.

Are you serious? You have said that like 3 times in the past 5 post and right after that you keep saying stick to the game. KNBA29 ask a question, I responded with a good answer, he said has anyone of those players mentioned had a good game against Bell. To the best of my knowledge, Lexington Catholic would not have scored had he not returned a kick 97 yards, that was pretty successful IMO. It is ridiculous how much some of you Bell County fans are denying that there have been some good players hurt you and you can do some hurting without scoring. Let it go already, if I wanted to waste a lot of time I could come up with a lot of single performances that hurt Bell County.

Letcher Central is/was better last season by 2-3 touchdowns, than they are now, IMO. Mercer County will be better than last year based on returners but they are basically unknown with the new coach. Like someone earlier compared them to Louisville Central because of speed, if that is what your getting at, then Mercer County would've gotten beaten badly by Central last year, they weren't in that league at all.

Alcoa, TN - 20 Bell County - 8

Breathitt County 's players are in shape, though. Two platooning will not be a factor in this game. Breathitt's defense might start slow but they are strong up front. I can't see Fugate getting less than 250 yards Friday night.

There was a discussion last season as to why Corbin wasn't already in the 3A classification with their numbers. There are currently quite a few teams in 4A with numbers similiar to Corbins.

They didn't score did they? LOL Pretty impressive to dominate a 5A contender like that, of course after watching Breathitt County last year twice, I knew they would be as good as advertised this season. There aren't any teams that can stop Fugate from getting his yards.

If they keep these same numbers then in 2011 they will be 4A.
