Wow! I'm so used to seeing Belfry just seem to always win. This one shocks me a little. Congrats to Prestonsburg.

When was the last time Prestonsburg beat Belfry? Seems like Belfry's had their number for a while.

Prestonsburg's last win in the series was the 2001 2A Regional Championship (interestingly, that had made the Blackcat's 3rd in a row at the time). Belfry had afterward won 8 straight beginning the 2002 regular season.

Thank goodness that monkey has been thrown off P-burg's back. It had grown to be about the size of King Kong. :D

What a win, and what a game!

Were you there, my friend ?? If so, wish I'd run into you !!

Congratulations Blackcats from a former Floyd Countian. What a great victory over Belfry.

I heard only 28 kids are on the Prestonsburg roster. I didn't pick this one. Nice win!!

Wow, huge first win for Pburg...this will get them rolling!

Pburg lost a ton of talent from last year. You have to tip your hat to the kids and staff there. They have really nice team speed and really fly to the ball on defense. Burchette is one of the more underatted QB's in the state. He is a nice player!

I'll eat crow, must have been a great game.

It really was from a fan's perspective.

There was a lot of first game mistakes both ways as each team has a lot of first-year varsity starters. But all in all, a good start for both team's seasons.
