Slow start but strong finish. The U played over their heads for the first 10:00 and were up 30-15. Nwora went on a big run to bring 'em back and they were only down 1 at the break. Williams played very well in the 2nd half and McMahon finally made a few after an 0-7 shooting start. Cunningham and Fore also contributed. King even had a couple of nice putbacks. Odd that Perry didn't play much after starting. He had some TOs and wasn't playing stellar defense but thought he'd be back in. They need him in the 4 guard rotation.

Vick's career was shortened because he did a terrible thing and was appropriately punished for it. Should other people be punished for things they do as well? Yes. That doesn't mean Vick's career shouldn't have been cut short (not that you were saying that.)

Little or no value to Senzel unless he's getting regular ABs and playing time. Coming off an injury and the fact that he was not "can't miss" before the injury, you proceed with caution there. If he doesn't come up in 2019, there will be plenty of room in 2020.

I wonder if the film might not be more impressive if the 30 minutes was shown before the movie. Maybe not the full 30 minutes, but maybe 10 key minutes? I thought it was just OK, and could have used more "storyline" to hold it together and keep engaged. Maybe my technical and other expectations were too high.

We had a "spirited" discussion about the variables in the final immunity challenge. 1 camp said the time it took from the ball hitting the lever was the exact same to the exit point regardless of which way the ball went (left or right after lever). The other camp said it either wasn't clear or that it wasn't necessarily the same time which would introduce another variable into when the ball would drop out. Any thoughts? To me, it would have been more interesting if they were different. Otherwise, the only variables seem to be the gap between when the balls were dropped and, possibly, the force which they were dropped with and you could just alternate left / right to figure out where the ball was coming out.

Article said Dodgers gave $17.9M qualifying offer to Grandal and he rejected it. A - why would the Dodgers do that? B - why would Grandal do that? Ramos just signed a 2 yrs. deal for about the same price so I'm guessing that Grandal couldn't get the prior $ from the Dodgers now if he wanted to.

Let's see if we at least agree on something: 1 - Assume coaches went to kid and said "we don't think you're going to fit our scheme but we'll honor the scholly offer if you want it. Just to be clear, there's a real strong chance you won't play much or at all next year. If that happens, there's also a real strong chance your scholly won't be renewed for the following year." 2 - Kid says "I believe in myself and really want to prove myself by graduating in DEC and coming to campus early." 3 - Kid doesn't play and scholly isn't renewed. 4 - Kid can't find a D1 place to land after not playing / being seen for a year and football career ends. Isn't pulling the scholly and giving the kid the full time until regular signing period to find a home better for the kid - whether he (or others) think so or not?

I was impressed by both teams today. Think Kent State can make some noise in the MAC this year. UofL may have played their best game of the year, at least offensively. Lots of options and most contributed.

I've been saying it for a few weeks, and it becomes stronger each week, that I think Angelina makes final 3 b/c everyone wants to go against her so it is basically head to head (as I'm not sure she'd get any votes). Seems like every season someone imminently hateable / annoying lasts long enough where the remaining players want to keep them around just b/c they are no threat to get votes. Not sure if it's ever discussed (wouldn't make the edit if they did as it would remove suspense), but you would think it would be. Agree that Carl got a little "power hungry" and let his focus slip. That quickly he goes from top (ding) to bottom (ding).

Saw Bob Stoops mentioned in an article. Don't think it's realistic, but would he be a good hire? How much fun would it be to have brothers as the head coaches of UK and UofL? (Mike is also available as an Assistant to heighten the intrigue.)

They are legitimately 10 deep. The problem is none of the 10 are "all world" and none of them are "junk." Makes for some difficult coaching decisions and interesting rotations. Fore and McMahon have been basically switching defense / offense late in close games. I think you answered your own question there. Producers WANT them to find idols because it introduces so much mayhem into the calculus.
