Twitter said Raisor had a no-no through 6 and was pulled for Doty in the 7th (presumably to keep him available for THU if they get there). I would expect to see Doty back out there tomorrow against St. Henry.

Since righting the ship at HHS, JB has always taken the approach at Regionals to go with your best available arms. Win and advance, and worry about tomorrow later.

Can't say the same for Krumps in this game. Although AJ Maher is an outstanding athlete, starting a SO with only 5 innings on the bump in the Regional opener is an odd call for sure.

Maybe some CCH posters can give their take on this rather unusual move giving the rock to Maher.

Ricky Raisor was outstanding, pitched to contact all night. Unofficially I counted 4 or 5 1st pitch outs and probably 8 or 9 ground ball outs, 5 or 6 Ks and only 2 walks and of course no hits.

He pitched well enough to get out of the first couple of innings with no runs.

Have to ask about the play at second that resulted in the Bluebird player bowling over the CovCath second baseman. The umps treated it as a no call and played on. Intent aside, should this have been called interference as it prevented the second baseman from making a throw home?
