  1. Good luck, Josh! It would have been nice to see you playing at Georgetown with Walker and Edwards from Mercer. But, best wishes to you in your future!
  2. Rings are $240.00 each. There are 92 players that will be taken care of first. Then the high school coaches. I think it is great that Coach Jaggers wanted his middle school coaches included in getting rings. They are, of course, the ones working his feeder program. We will not need exactly $28,000, but that is the goal that was set to make sure everyone is taken care of.
  3. Edwards will sign with Georgetown this coming Friday. Still no word on Lewis. Donald Walker from Mercer signed with Georgetown today.
  4. Donald Walker officially signed with Georgetown today. Freeman Edwards is signing with Georgetown on Friday. No news yet on Chris Lewis or Cory Jackson.
  5. Heard Junior Ethan Ashford was playing football next year. He could be a threat to Short at the QB position.
  6. Walker was recruited as an outside linebacker. Lewis is being recruited as a linebacker and Edwards as a safety/corner. Jackson, of course, is being recruited for offense.
  7. Congratulations to Donald! Good luck at Georgetown. Heard that Chris Lewis and Freeman Edwards made a visit to Georgetown this week and that Cory Jackson is going there next week.
  8. What school is KCU? My mind is going blank right now.
  9. Anyone know how the recruiting is going for any of the Mercer County seniors?

  11. The Class 2A State Champions Mercer Titans Football Team will hold their awards ceremony on Sunday, January 21st at the East Lexington Street Campus Gymnasium. The family meal will begin at 5:00 PM. The awards ceremony will begin at 6:30. All fans and community supporters are invited to attend the awards ceremony at 6:30. Award winners will be posted after ceremony.
  12. What players from Mercer County were nominated?
  13. Nothing for any of Mercer's secondary? Daryl Smith, Aaron Bee, Blake Arnold, and Freeman Edwards combined to make one of the best secondary teams in the state this football season. I guess working as a unit and getting the job done is overlooked compared to working as an individual and padding your own stats. But, in the long run I am sure it was worth it to these four guys - STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. That's something they can always say they accomplished as a secondary unit. They were all four superb at the state game! All four played unselfishly and always helped each other out. Way to go guys!
  14. I agree with you, no one from Mercer? How do you overlook athletes like Brandon Ford, Chris Lewis, Rashad Buster, Freeman Edwards, Blake Arnold, Sam Blackburn, or Cory Jackson? You all missed the boat on this one! But, congratulations to the ones who did make it. Great year!
  15. Just stating that these two former Hburg players were being recruited to play football at college. That's all!
  16. Add Chase Wofford and Freeman Edwards to that list. Edwards is being recruited by several colleges. Wofford will have to make his decision whether to play football or basketball.
  17. The 2006 2A championship trophy is at Mercer County Senior High School, where it should be. Our defense won the ballgame for us by coming up with the big plays when we needed it! Russell played a great game. Good luck next year!
  18. Coldweatherfan, you are right! The scoreboard showed it! Mercer was the better team on Dec. 1st.
  19. The great mighty TITANS never lost this year!!!! No one from Mercer County had to whine!!!!!!! Just voicing my opinion!!!!!!
  20. Anyone know about the 2A, District 5 (Mercer, Lloyd, Newport, North Oldham, Spencer, Henry Co)? Have any announcements been made about All-District?
  21. Duh!!!! We don't have Insight Cable in the Mercer County area!!!!!
  22. 1. Mercer County (15-0, Defense outstanding) 2. Russell (Great team - but, too many whiney fans! Glad the players don't act like their fans! Russell's players are a class act team!) 3. Western 4. Larue County 5. Owensboro Catholic
