  1. I'm just curious, because I don't quite understand the rules, but how is it JC's fault, Matney's, or the player or his family's if McCreary county didn't do what they were supposed to do?
  2. Embarrassed to be an Eagle because of one fan? I'd say you could have found another seat. I thought the atmosphere was great for an away game!:dancingpa
  3. This whole post just makes me laugh!!! The Paintsville response and all that funny stuff. You really know your football. What game did you watch last night. I think most of those 2nd and 20 came from losses on runs not passes. Without a healthy Shawn Grimm those long second and third downs became nothing but passing downs and WC came with no regards to the running game. How can you prepare to run for your life? I know that JK made some mistakes but didn't everyone? I know that he underthrew Ian once and then he hit Ian and he had a TD but Fumbled with no one around. The other underthrows I can't remember but maybe when you are throwing from your back it might be underthrown a little bit. I don't like when someone blames a 21 point loss on one person. I would like to know who could do a better job than JK? I just don't like someone getting on here and putting a kid down when they work hard at something. Just take the loss as a team and move on to the next game. Lets take some frustration out on that team from across the creek. :thumb:
  4. First of all I love the way with one loss you start calling people out and saying we need to change everything. I guess you cheer when it is great and start calling everyone out on a loss. It is very difficult when a team is one dimensional and that one dimensional is hurt. After that a defense can just pin their ears back and do what ever they want. How about the drops that some of the receivers had? I only seen him under throw one receiver and that was Ian. It is very hard to make great throws when you can't even set your feet without two defenders chasing you. I can't understand the comment that jc needs a new QB when I saw many mistakes by everyone. Give JK that amount of time that Duckworth had and he has 300 yards every game. Yes Nathan played great but after the game was out of reach. He needs to learn to hang on to the ball!!! What about the defense? We didn't tackle anyone. We just tried to arm tackle and against good football teams that don't work. I for one thought that Woodford came ready to play and JC was a little overconfident. Games like this happen when you are talking about young kids. It makes you sit back and scratch your head. I think in the long run that this will help JC and make them work a little harder. Nothing like a good butt whoopin to get your head on straight. Either you grow up or quit and I hope for one that they take this loss and grow with it. No reason to point fingers. Congrats Woodford and hope to see you again down the road. Did you guys enjoy you trip to the nest?:ylsuper:
  5. Lets see? Three runs on what maybe three hits with two misplayed balls in the outfield. PLD might hit Fyffe but for u to say that he isn't special is crazy! Let me guess you had all the hits and drove in all the runs.
  6. I think they play at 5:30 on Thursday.
  7. Any radio broadcast on the web?
  8. Matt Fyffe goes the distance striking out 16 giving up 2 hits and 2 unearned runs. Big 2 run double by Arron Haney that broke a 2-2 tie. Congrats Eagles and good luck against LCC next week.
  9. Grimm threw the ball one time the whole season.
  10. Great job eagles! Everybody stepped up and came ready to play!! Now go get a district title! :dancingpa :dancingpa
  11. JC had 7 or 8 hits but left many baserunners on!! Tough loss but great pitching effort by Fyffe.
  12. Congratulations Matt!! Great accomplishment and keep throwing the way you have been! Matt is 3-0 with 1 save and a 0.34 ERA to go along with 33 strikeouts. :ylsuper:
  13. Especially if this is a good hitter!!! It would be nice to get that person out of the way!!! Another question for you umpires! If he is called out at second and the appeal was denied and the same batter comes up to start the next inning and takes a pitch, is this batting out of order?
  14. Good job and congratulations to the Eagles players and coaches!! Well deserved win! Best team play I have seen all year! Keep it up Eagles!
  15. The man is a good coach! His personality does not determine how he coaches. I didn't know that was a must for a coach! Is that one of the questions that is asked when interviewing for a head coaching job? By the way, the man talks to me every time I see him and usually has a smile on his face. About Crum he needs to become more vocal and more offensive minded. He plays hard which is not true for some of our players. People seem to forget we lost a bunch of players from last year and we are relatively young.
  16. This is probably the most ignorant post ever on this site! Either you don't know very much about the game of basketball or you are a kid/parent that has a grudge against this player. He is the only player on that floor that gives 110 percent ALL the time and is very unselfish. He could care less if he scores or not but does care if this team wins or not. People forget that we lost 6 important players from last years team. Mccarty is the only one that saw significant playing time. You are right on one thing. Good stats and talent can't get wins but heart and team play can and that is what is lacking in this team.:thumb:
  17. I'm not talking about a senior in my post. It was a couple others who pouted when taken out of the game from what I've been told.
  18. Or the heart! They need to grow up and quit crying! This team has talent but some of them do not want to work hard! Talent only gets you so far. I don't understand if these kids want to play on the next level how they can come out in a great tournament and play half heartedly or after they get removed from the game for not hustling pout on the bench. I know one thing the kids who finished the game were playing very intense and hard. A college coach will notice hustle and heart more than points!
  19. Maybe UK should be calling as well. Kicking game hurt again today against UT.
  20. That is what I had heard as well. This kid was great this year. He played hard all game even when the game was basically over.
  21. Great season JC. You made all of eastern Kentucky proud. You left it all on the field and that is all we could ask. Congrats to Coach Jim Matney. This man knows what he is talking about and loves these kids! Made friday nights enjoyable for 14 weeks. Congrats to CCH. Unbelievable football team. Made every play when they had to. Prayers are with Shawn Grimm.
  22. No, we use markers now! Seriously though, it is done before every game.
  23. I wonder if they can figure out how to get "Johnsonville"? The announcers said that out defense would not be able to stop their offense. That our d coordinater would not sleep all week.
