Closer than you know. First off look at how the football field looks now compared to how it looked before he got there. Secondly, the base you are talking about was being built when he arrived. If you do not believe that look at what the previous coach is doing at Conner. Also, I think he applied last time the job was open.

You do not need 64 credit hours to be paid. I can name you about a dozen who never even went to college or do not have 64 hours and they are paid assistants.

Yes....it is! But, I do not think that you start Seniors just because they are Seniors. Also, I do think it is strange that public bashing, airing dirty laundry, and being negative to a coach at a school were great pride is taken in the motto "with a spirit that will never die," seems to be acceptable. I think it would be a time to set an example for the students and players to come together as a school, football program, boosters, parents, and supporters and try to resolve the issues internally. There are a lot of great people and supporters in place and things will turn around soon I am sure.

It was stated in the St. X/CCH thread that the Senior QB should have started, if for no other reason than because he was a Senior. Regardless if the coach thought the Junior was better. So my question is: What schools start all of their Seniors on Senior Day? If any!

Have you watched Simpson play this year? He does catch the ball out of the backfield and blocks in pass coverage(when they pass). If they were comparable then Kelly would be going D-1.

If a teacher is not a good football coach why would you want them to keep coaching? It is not like they are still not teaching. I wonder if they do some complaining in the classroom to the players about the new coaches? Whether you are a teacher or not has no bearing on your ability to coach. Ryle's head football coach is not a teacher and he has done a great job of building a "program" in Union.

Ryle's run game will not net more than 30 yds for the game. Especially if they line up in the shotgun or single back back field. It is hard enough to run the ball on Boone with a full back take the lead blocker away and you are in trouble. With Ryles "long hand off" pass offense Boone will be able to stay in their base D and tee off on Ryles receivers after the "long hand off" pass to the flats.

They do have it. They throw it to Friedel first and he throws it to the backside WR or QB. It was put in because everyone knows how well Josh can throw the ball.

Some teams do not have 2 a days because of the rule for contact on consecutive practices. Instead they have one practice for 4-5 hours with a small break, about 15-20 minutes in the middle. So technically they are not having 2 a days. Is this what Dixie is doing? Or are they having one 2 hour practice?

Isn't his mom a teacher in the Boone school system? I believe this how he attends Boone while living in the Conner district. Is his mom now going to commute from Scott County to teach in Boone? Or is she getting a position in the Scott County area?
