Another exceptional sophomore moving to Scott County from Boone.

 

Dad moving to cut his work commute from about 4 hours to 2 (works mostly in Richmond and Eastern KY area) and I think they want to be closer to their daughter who is a Freshman at UK.

How many more top players' parents are going to seek work in Lexington or come up with another excuse to get their kid on Scott Co's roster? Lets see, that is 3 from the same AAU team now playing at Scott Co. This is almost comical.

 

When will the true Scott Co. kids finally get fed up and quit? That is my question.

I'm not familiar with this kid. What type of player is he? What does his dad do in Richmond and EKY?

This is sad. All three of these kids (Euton, Jackson, and Flannery ) all play on the same AAU team. I was in agreement that Euton was doing it for the sake of his job, but this is a little far fetched. I think all of these young men are great people and I am sure the parents are looking out for the best interest of their kids, but come on, how can the KHSAA not look at this as a very unusal situation. How ironic, they play together all summer and now they are going to be at the same school.

 

I can not begin to tell you how this dissappoints me. With the recent article on the boycout of private schools, it sure does not look good for the public school movement to say that the private schools are the only ones that that gets transfers. I can tell you that the situation does not look like the one of hey I have to move so I am going to move to this school. I hope that all of this is just some freak occurance but I am not the judge,someone else will do that at another date.

If you go back and look at one of my previous posts on "Chad Jackson to Scott County" - I mentioned that more help could be on the way. I had heard that Flannery was in the works and the move was likely; but he is not the only one. Rumor or no rumer - I don't know - but the same person that told me about Flannery also said that Scott County is getting a 6"11 kid from another state. I guess time will only tell if that was small talk or the truth; but he was right about Flannery!

I heard Pervis Ellison's kid who has to be atleast that tall and is a sophomore I believe. Dont forget in the 8th grade class a kid named Isiah Ivey from Frankfort. The list I am sure goes on and on.

Scott County is turning into Oak Hill West, it sounds like.

Someone mentioned Ellison's kid on here a while back and I checked into things and there is no evidence of this move possibly occurring that I have come across.

If Flannery is on their AAU team, then they all play with Gelawn Guyn of Scott Co. What AAU team are these kids on? Who is the coach? Where is the coach located? Is this Flannery kid a soph-to-be or a junior-to-be? How big? What position? etc.

 

 

I am not sure all the answers but I know they play together. I beleive that Flannery is a sophomore, junior to be. He is a guard. I think the issue is that the ironic thing they have all ended up at the same school. That is just so iroic. Hope it works out for the young me, my point is that this is just not good for the public/private debate that seems to be coming back to the forefront.

Isn't his mom a teacher in the Boone school system? I believe this how he attends Boone while living in the Conner district. Is his mom now going to commute from Scott County to teach in Boone? Or is she getting a position in the Scott County area?
