If Flannery is on their AAU team, then they all play with Gelawn Guyn of Scott Co. What AAU team are these kids on? Who is the coach? Where is the coach located? Is this Flannery kid a soph-to-be or a junior-to-be? How big? What position? etc.

 

Ohio Basketball Club/KY Patriots, two years ago Flannery's and Euton's dads were coaching the team when it was the NKY Patriots.

 

This is all starting to make sense, from some information I received about two months ago, Hmmm.

Personally I think it's great that Scott Co. has built their program to the point where folks want their kids there. They play a national schedule, have great facilities, and get their kids recruited. Whats not to like. You can't be mad if a family decides to move from Paducah to Scott Co. and their child can play ball. Parents are going to do what's best for their child's future. No different then a child playing an instrutment and a certain school having an outstanding band program. Now if someone showed me where a player was getting paid or was receiving some type of benefit then I could see being upset. I just think schools need to invest more into their sports programs. Make kids wanna play for their home schools. Stop being content with winning your district, region, and state. Think national!

This is pathetic. I can understand Euton. I can even to a point understand Chad Jacksons' move. But now 3 that play on the same AAU team? If the KHSAA doesn't find this fishy then this state needs new people running the show. But if these guys actually pull this off, hats to you all. :thumb:

KHSAA needs to step in on this situation, this is worse than the private school problems they are having where no public school wants to schedule them. Could all state schools boycott playing Scott County until district or regional time or would that be unheard of?

HS Sports is becoming a ridiculous joke in this state. Mostly the major sports.

I doubt they will be able to do anything based on a lack of ethics. There's nothing illegal if the parents actually move, but there's definately an ethics debate.:madman::mad::madman:

Things do sound kind of funny. I'm sure the kids must like playing together if they are willing to do this. I dont really understand the move for this kid because SC is so stacked though. He isn't going to play a whole lot. Maybe the kid just wants to win a title. Who knows? Maybe the father needing to move thing is legit. It's really hard to say.

Flannery will get more playing time than you think he will. He can flat out shoot the ball and Billy Hicks always plays his shooters.
