  1. Keep up the good work. Remember, it's a lifestyle change. You didn't get 'good at it' in four days! I quit 3 years ago. It's tough. Probably one of the toughest things you can do, but you CAN do it. By the end of the 1st week, you should notice some changes. Food will start to taste better (or actually TASTE) Aromas will be more noticable. Spicy stuff may be too spicy. Have some cinnamon hard candies available to you. It fights the urge.
  2. Bailey-like the Irish Cream.....
  3. I'm surprised that familar names are already JUNIORS AND SENIORS! The time is just flying by......
  4. What an exciting game to watch to kick off the season, despite the game time. Dixie's got size on that line! Hadn't heard alot about their size this year. People talk about our big line, but they were right there with us! Good Luck to both teams this year. Work out the kinks and run with what you've got!
  5. I don't know why I always hang it like that. (to the back) Of course, like bwf, I'm the only one qualified in my household to change it. Do they have courses on this in college? Is it an advanced degree?
  6. Was at the Gallatin season opener last week and very impressed with their ac'd gym and nice facilities. Could get used to having stuff like that! Gallatin's new JV coach is a BW alum.
  7. I've been tempted to buy a pair, but they're about as ugly as they are comfortable. I have a pair of the flip-flop kind and wear them all the time. I don't think it's unmanly to wear Crocs, but unmanly to wear a Speedo AND Crocs!
  8. Great News, Cody! Now that the decision is made, you can concentrate on your senior year. Make it a great one!
  9. ALWAYS was 'soft drink' to me or Coke. When I was a teenager and working in the fast-food trenches, we were taught to always point out to the customer that we carried Pepsi and ask if that was alright with them. Not until I visited friends in Buffalo had I ever heard 'soda' on a regular basis--but of course, when I didn't understand them, I said, "Please?"
  10. Now I don't care who you are, that's funny.
  11. I'm glad somebody said something about that avatar! I've been trying to figure out exactly WHAT it is...... (of course, my own avatar is so lovely)
  12. I have to jump on this wagon also. The Enquirer has made some visable attempts to have more local (read-KY) news, but it is still lacking considerably. We knew this was coming, but it's still a shame.
  13. Toyota and Nissan will run well into the 100K miles.... Check with your insurance agent about the Celica...could make that decision an easy one. Right now, on paper, the Altima seems wisest.
  14. They are out there right now practicing.....so that feels like it's even CLOSER!!!!!!!
  15. Borders Books has it. It's got 3 UK Players on the front and is called the 2007 Kentucky Football Yearbook. At our Borders, it was up by the register. It was my first time purchasing it, and I was a little disappointed.
  16. Can they talk/contact Dom if he's only a Junior-to-be?? I really don't know the answer.
  17. Drew Davis-SR, Chris Hoffman-SR, Jake Besse-SR, Kory Bailey-SR, Dominic Mainello-JR Their weights can be found in the new KY Football Yearbook. Don't have it in front of me, and I'm afraid to guess. Hoffman, Bailey, Mainello-all probably 250+, Davis and Besse 200+. Monster Line!!!
  18. I'm sure the police aren't releasing ALL that's been said and done. Sad ending to an even sadder story.
  19. Hope to see you around the 'wood while you're home! Stay safe!
  20. Please keep us posted, as I'm sure Nate will be busy and not necessarily able to keep up on his IM's and emails!
  21. Congratulations Nate! You deserve the best!
  22. All I can say is "PLEASE, PUT THAT AWAY!!!!"
  23. Do you know when you're coming up yet? I will be anxious to hear your report on our fine area. Try to go to Devou Park in Covington if you want a spectacular view of downtown Cincy. Just a pretty place to sit and veg.....
  24. Cody Elliott is the senior-to-be returner. He's pretty talented on the field, and not too shabby on the baseball mound, either.
  25. What are we supposed to agree with? The administration wanted a teacher, there is only a science position open. We can't create a teaching job, so the no-brainer is....Someone with experience who's already in the building. It's not exactly dissing the basketball program. IMO, it shows respect for the program that they see the need and benefit to having the coach be close to the players on a daily basis. I'm not picking a fight or trying to be a smart aleck....just an observation.
