Excellent point. I like it better if all district games counted. Currently in our district only the first game counts. Could come down to luck if where games our played.

I will say this about a draw. Back when I coach in a 5 team district there was so much excitement and nervousness when the district draw occurred. It helped bring excitement back into the last part of the regular season. When you seed, it eliminates excitement, but it does reward success in the regular season.

I agree Snottie Drippin. Congratulations Coach Harden and his players

Nice win for the Lady Bearcats. Had better scoring balance yesterday. Good team win.

Congratulations to the Demons. They are playing well.

Great effort by the Bearcats. LCA is a very good team. What happened to freedom of movement and cleaning the game up? Only 2 fouls called in the first half! If you went in the paint you got the crap knocked out of you. Hate to watch that. It always favors the bigger and stronger team. Don't get me wrong, stripes were fair and consistent. I just don't like watching that kind of basketball.

Who is making the hiring for Frederick Douglas High School? Are they hiring teachers first before coaches? Or are they hiring coaches and then will post all teaching positions?

Was this a seed game? How is the district shaping up?

Congratulations to Coach Brannen and the Bearcats. Great team win! Also, a very good performance by the Demons and Coach Hardin. A really good game that I also thought was officiated well. Good night of HS Basketball.

I know that I am happy for him. He cares for those kids and Grant Co High School.

I disagree completely with HS coaches having the best youth programs. The best youth programs are now AAU ran and do not involve most high school coaches. Covington Catholic has it going on right now. How involved is Coach Ruthatz in elementary aged kids? There is not enough time in the day for him to know all the kids in all the parochial schools. A big public school with success? Cooper?? How many elementary schools feed into Cooper High School? 3 or 4??? How does Coach Sullivan impact all those kids and teams?

WV is playing very good right now. Their defense has been outstanding.

Congratulations to Coach Harden and the Demons.

Great game by the Bearcats. A total team effort. Their defense was outstanding. Congratulations to Coach Brannen and the players.

The biggest mistake in High School sports today is players, coaches, and parents all thinking that players can't develop after their Freshman year. So many programs make the mistake of determining their future varsity team by who the best freshman are 3 years prior. Very seldom to you ever see a role player (Players 5,6, or 7) on a Freshman team end up playing significant minutes on the varsity. Most teams will take their top 3 players from each grade level and that becomes their varsity team. 3 best seniors start, then maybe 2 or 3 juniors will start and a stud sophomore. That will be top 7 players and by mid year they think they have to get the next best Sophomore some minutes for next year. Sad to think that young people are given up on so early. Sad that so many young people don't work real hard and change their potential and skill!

Congratulations Greendevils!

I understand and respect that!

Who is playing selfish? Not like them to be that way.

NIce win for Coach Harden and the Demons.

Congratulations to Coach Utter and the Braves. The season has started well for them. It was always nice to win a tournament too!

Always fly Southwest with a group. They are great to work with!

Nice job Bearcats!

I am not sure, but I think it is points scored.

You are correct PP1. The WV vs Grant Co game will be huge.

No it's not. Walton-Verona will be fine. They played one of the top teams in the state. WV will compete for the 8th region All A and will win 15 games this year. Today is a learning experience.
