Congratulations to the Grant County Braves. Newport is a formidable opponent.

Well deserved Swauger Classic Championship.

Donnie Miller finished with 27. The sophomore is coming into his own

McGuire (finally back in the lineup for 19min) had 14/3r

 

Newport was unable to get it done defensively, and a few mishaps down the stretch cost them the game. The team will learn and get better from this game.

 

Grant County was relentlessly attacking the glass, and refused to be denied. They also hit 8 threes, McClure with 4 of them.

Adkins had 18/10r/4a

Dawalt had 9/5r

 

Grant County played very well and it was clear they wanted this game from the jump.

Congratulations to Coach Utter and the Braves. The season has started well for them. It was always nice to win a tournament too!
