^I agree with your statement sportsfan2008, defense that is applied will have an effect on how conditioned you are and can result in bad free throw shooting especially in the latter stages of the game. St. Patrick does apply great pressure, I would say the defense had a impact on free throws missed to a degree in this game, but missing 22 can also say that your team is just not very good from the line. When Mason played them earlier in the year, they missed 18 that game. I don't know what it is that a girl/boy can knock down multiple 3 pointers 4 plus feet beyond the foul line but can't hit a free throw without any defense. It blows my mind. The Lady Saints are 18-4 for a reason, they are good, so I don't want this to sound like I am taking anything away from them.

Allen had a real nice JV game and gave some good minutes in the varsity matchup. Sky is the limit for this young lady.

The 10th Region Freshman tournament will be held at Harrison County on Saturday Feb. 14th. First game: 9am Bishop Brossart vs Harrison County Second game: 10:15 am Mason County vs Clark County Both winners advance to the finals to be played Monday night at 630pm. Good Luck to all teams involved.

How are the bathrooms at Elliott?

If this is a complaint at the freshmen level, then there are some miserable people walking everyday. There are worst gyms in the state and I have never heard a complaint too bad about the St. Patricks gym. In fact I like it, it is tight in the corners, but its a adjustment that kids need to be able to adapt to. I know for a fact that each school had the opportunity to step up to the plate after Bourbon County declined to host last year and no one did but Coach Collins at Pendleton. I say kudos to Pendleton for getting a little money maker, having the desire to keep a competitive drive to some young kids to be able to experience a tournament like atmosphere for some kids that may never have past their freshmen year.

Heard from a reliable source from the that doors will open up at 430 and the first 1000 fans that are in attendance will be granted seats. There will be no pre-sale of tickets. My guess is you better leave right now to secure your spot in line mhighfield cause it is gonna be crazy.

Mason County freshman advance to 10th region tourney to be held at the winner of the 38th district. Does anyone know the results of the 37th, 38th, and 40th districts?

The fact that varsity players who have significant roles at that level being brought back down to play in a freshmen tournament. I guess some schools might utilize there kids and play them at all three levels(freshmen, jv, varisty), I am just not a advocate of it.

I believe you would have to add Mr. Robbie Stenzel to the all-state team consideration.

Maybe it has to do with a younger player taking the spot of someone close to your heart. If you are good enough to play up then let it happen and quit crying about the situation that you have no control of.

It is hard to understand from an outsider what we expect from our kids night in and night out. They are not complaining to the officials, they are upset because they were not in position defensively when the foul was called on them. Someone help me out here, up until the win over Anderson County this year, the previous few years holding a ranking, I don't recall Elliott beating anyone in the rankings. I could be wrong, but I just don't recall it. Congrats on a big win to SV.
