St. Patrick 67 Fleming County 55

Featured Replies

Emmons has 22, but only 6 in the second half. St. Pat adjusted well on her in the second half, as she made 4 3's in the first two quarters, and only 1 more the rest of the game.

Ann Klee had 24, 14 in the first half and 10 in the second. Good all around game for her, and good bench production from St. Pat this game. The seniors go out with a bang, as it was senior night for these ladies.

Fleming Co is very young Alexx is going to be a good player at FCHS.

St Pat did a much better job on Emmons in the 2nd Half.

A lot of missed opportunities from the free throw line for Fleming County, especially in the 4th quarter.

Yeah they missed around 8-10 I would guess.

I was impressed with both teams play. I thought they both played hard and gave a 110%.

Also, it was well called. We had two of the best referee's in the BBA refereeing and they did a GREAT job!:dancingpa

I definitely agree with the hard play. Especially Fleming County. During the middle of the season, I would have thought they would get beaten by 20, but they really hung in there tonight, even when they got down double digits. Free throw shooting really hurt them. Puente was constantly at the line, and only ended up with 2 points, so that was a big factor right there.

St. Pat moves on to play Rowan County Friday.

Big win for the Saints.:thumb: I thought the seniors had a great game, especially Leslie Pfeffer.

Robbie Alex had a great game for Fleming.

Good intense game. Klee for St. Pats and Emmons for Fleming were impressive. Allex for Fleming played well also.

Yes, Pfeffer really got things going in the first half, where she scored all of her points. She is a great floor leader and passer.

Alexx hit some huge shots in the fourth quarter that kept bringing Fleming County closer. It would have been interesting to see how close they could've made it had they converted on their free throws.

According to the Maysville paper, St. Patrick went 20-26 from the stripe. Fleming County was 11-33.

WOW!

I knew they missed alot, but didn't know this many.

Sometimes when the defense is really tough and you have to work for your shots it makes you tired. Maybe the poor free throw shooting had something to do with that.

^I agree with your statement sportsfan2008, defense that is applied will have an effect on how conditioned you are and can result in bad free throw shooting especially in the latter stages of the game. St. Patrick does apply great pressure, I would say the defense had a impact on free throws missed to a degree in this game, but missing 22 can also say that your team is just not very good from the line. When Mason played them earlier in the year, they missed 18 that game. I don't know what it is that a girl/boy can knock down multiple 3 pointers 4 plus feet beyond the foul line but can't hit a free throw without any defense. It blows my mind. The Lady Saints are 18-4 for a reason, they are good, so I don't want this to sound like I am taking anything away from them.

I was very impressed with Fleming County's Emmons--she is a great shooter and the Lady Saints took awhile to shut her down. I was very proud of our Lady Saint's; they came out strong against a tough defensive team. All of our girls contribute valuable minutes. Ann is very impressive inside, the Payne sisters play agressive defense and offense, Cora and Molly hustle and rebound well, and Leslie can see the floor very well--I gues that's why she is the Ledger's prep stat leader in assists for the fourth week in a row. Good game for both teams.
