Mason County improved to 5-3 on the season with the victory. Tyler Black led the Royals with 25 while Connor Osborne had 18. Both teams had plenty of chances to win but free throws were a problem. Mason finished 9-23 from the line while Campbell shot 8-22 from the line. The Royals are back in action Monday night at Bourbon County.

I made a comment back when they hired Coach Breeze that I would hope that some of the Bracken faithful would be patient with Coach Breeze and from viewing some of the comments, looks like there are some that probably never will. Most likely sour grapes, but every program has that and winning generally cures a lot of the negative comments. I will say this again, give the guy a chance, he is playing without his point guard which we all know directs and coaches on the floor. Once everyone is healthy, and this young bunch finds the way to win in more games, they will be dangerous in the All A. Best of luck to the Coach Breeze and his Polar Bears.

I heard Doss was without 3 players, anyone know the facts. It pertains to an all-star football committment.

Josh also excels in track. He was a member of the relay team that went to state as an 8th grader. He has an excellent future in football and track. Basketball skills are still a work in progress, but he is relentless, always in the attack mode. He possibly could sneak into some varsity action after the first of the year because of his no fear approach.

Trevor Taylor is a transfer student. He is about 6 foot tall, good body, suffered an injury and still learning the system.

Both Bourbon and Paris have programs that have been respected for a long, long time across the 10th Region. I don't think either coach would mind tipping it up agains any opponent(St. Patrick included) at any time.

From what I have been told, he is doing fine considering this is his first year playing with this group. He had a setback against Pendleton County with what appears to be a broken nose. He is sidelined for a couple of weeks.

Mason freshman beat Pendleton 62-33. Tyler Black and Josh Harris are playing real well for the freshman. 3 guard rotation of Lil Hamm, Tannner Walton, and Connor Osborne make for a quick backcourt that can shoot lights out.

Campbell freshman comes to Maysville to take on Mason County Jan.2 at the girls gym at 6pm. It should be a good game. MCIT is also going on that week.

Hope he recovers, class kid from a class family... know his papaw and uncle very well. Did he get a MRI? It is better to have him in March than now even if the district is seeded in the 40th. We may disagree at times, but I hope the best for him and Travis. BTW Clark has a nice freshman team as well.
