Corbin/Danville predictions
Hopefully Corbin has fixed the center/QB exchange problem that they had for a good portion of last season. If they fumble as many times as they did last year(10 or so) against Danville, the Ads will win going away. Corbin is not very big defensively, but possibly have the quickest defense that I have seen at Corbin in I don't know how long. Offensively, it all depends on the line, which has played well at times and not so well at other times. It will be interesting to see if Corbin sticks with their platoon system or if they will play some players both ways against the Ads. It should be a pretty close game if both teams play close to their potential.

Bluegrasspreps' Class 3A Rankings - Discussion (9/5)
This year's Corbin team is better than last year's, I just have a hard time seeing them as the #2 team in 3A. They still have several question marks and a ton of room for improvement. I would have to go with Lex Cath and maybe a couple of others above them right now. We will learn a lot the next 3 weeks on where they stand after the games on the road against Danville, Southwestern and Mayfield.

Corbin 42 Whitley County 6
Corbin was just a little too strong for the Colonels tonight. Need to play better next week to defeat Central in the Pigskin Classic.

3A #2 Corbin vs. 5A Whitley County
This should be a good game, I expect Corbin to pull away late and win by 2 TD's.

Knox Central 21 Bell County 19 (scrimmage)
They have a tough schedule, but I still see them winning at least 7 of the 10.

Knox Central 21 Bell County 19 (scrimmage)
I believe that Knox Central is going to be very good this year.

Bluegrasspreps' 2016 Class 3A Pre-Season Preview
Corbin is ranked a little high, probably would have them in the #4-6 range. They have a lot of starters back and have plenty of depth, but have some spots that are unproven.

Ten Good Programs In Bad Situations
Is Mills teaching at Corbin or just coaching?

Ten Good Programs In Bad Situations
This sounds really bad. Have all the coaches from last year moved on to other jobs? Is Mills still at Bell Co.?

Corbin Redhounds - 2015 Grade
I would have to give them a B due to the fact they exceeded most of the fan's expectations. They had to replace close to 20 starters from the previous year, which included about 90% of their offensive production. They were inconsistent, especially on the offensive line, but the coaching staff kept experimenting with different combinations of players on the line and by the playoffs they were much better. I may have to give Coach Haddix an A- for the job he was able to do while starting several freshman and sophomores, along with several seniors who had never really played much varsity football before.

2017 Wing Peyton Broughton (North Laurel)
Being a year older can make a huge difference in middle school, but once they get to be a junior or senior in high school, other kids have caught up physically and maturity wise. It may have helped him get noticed earlier, but I don't believe it's the reason he stands out now.

2017 Wing Peyton Broughton (North Laurel)
He is obviously talented, but he does need to improve his shooting, which I'm sure that he would agree with. I expect that he will do fine at the collegiate level. As far as having all the answers, that seems to be more of your department. I don't even have all of the questions.

2017 Wing Peyton Broughton (North Laurel)
He will need to improve his outside shooting, only shot 27.8% from behind the arc this year.

Corbin 2016
The defensive line is really the only place that Corbin took a hit due to graduation, believe they lost 3 DL starters along with 1 one other defensive starter. Unless I'm mistaken, the OL should be improved after losing only 1 starter, which I believe was the only Sr. starter on the offense at the end of the season. The 2 sophomores that started on the line look as though they have worked hard in the weight room and should be much better this coming season.

Corbin 2016
If several of those Belfry linemen decide to leave and start college a year early, then Corbin might have an excellent shot at beating the Pirates.:lol2: Otherwise, the Redhounds may have a shot, but I would call it more of a long shot at this point.

South Laurel 53 Christian County 50 (Sweet 16 1st Round)
You're right, they had not got out of the district the last 2 years, and had not won a game in the regional tournament in the 4 years he had been coaching at South Laurel. Hopefully they win 2 or 3 more games this week.

South Laurel 53 Christian County 50 (Sweet 16 1st Round)
I'm glad to see Coach Davis get this win, there was some heat forming under his seat going into this year due to not getting out of the district in his first three years at South Laurel. It had more to do with the talent level he inherited than the coaching.
