  1. I believe Somerset and Cov. Cath. were playing up as well.
  2. Like Bobby Bowden, if you never make the choice to "go out on your own terms" then at some point you will likely go out, "on someone else's terms". It is always sad when it happens.
  3. Larry Vaught is such a homer. He is everything Wireman desires in Jerry Tipton.
  4. Did he coach anywhere after LC? What made him leave LC?
  5. While all that maybe true, there are also alot more kids playing football at larger schools, so percentage wise one would expect that there would be more Mr. Footballs come out of that pool.
  6. Both were single A when the kids won.
  7. My experience with Madison Central fans is they think a lot more highly of their athletic program than other people do. As OC said, most people look at them as having a good program in most all sports, whereas they look at themselves as having a great program.
  8. Maybe, however, there have been quite a few from smaller schools to win the award.
  9. How are they gettting "messed over"?
  10. I would say that is a very appropriate way to handle this.
  11. Where did Chris Pardue end up?
  12. I believe it was the 2003 Trinity/X game that drew more than 23,500; however, obviously that game was in Louisiville.
  13. I would be curious to know what the issues were that caused Madision Centeral to go 0 for. Typically that is a school that produces alot of athletes.
  14. Maybe Smith and Harp. Maybe Mueller and Schneider
  15. Good point. Didn't even cross my mind.
  16. If that is true, then you have a whole bunch of coaches who think that it is "worth it" to work for one buck per hour to coach. The joy of doing what you like and the other fringe benefits outweigh the low pay. There is nothing wrong with that, but you can't choose to do a job that is really fun, but low paying and then complain that it is really fun, but doesn't pay better.
  17. It doesn't matter if it is high or low, if you agree to do the job, knowing the salary, then you are making what you "deserve". If you didn't feel it was worth it and not what you "deserve", then you wouldn't do it.
  18. Everyone is paid exactly what they deserve, if they weren't then they wouldn't do the job.
  19. The first place vote for Boone does make one wonder what exactly would have to occurr to make that individual vote Holmes number one. All they have done is: - Won state losing only 2 games - Return the top 3 players in the region and added a solid transfer - Avenged a regular season loss to Boone in a low scoring game in the most recent game played between the two. Not to mention Boone lost McFarland one of their better players to graduation.
  20. ...or maybe they are acting like tax payers who actually funding the schools. Crazy idea I realize.
  21. I don't care who you are that is funny.
  22. What about Godfather's pizza? Is there still a Godfather's in BG?
