Ticket Rumors

Featured Replies

Rumors are abound here at FC saying that the tix at the door of WKU won't be available because the game is sold out. The high school is selling advance tix, which is fine......but I really wanna squash the "sold out at the door" rumor so people don't get the impression tha they shouldn't go if they can't get advance tix.

Can anyone shed some light?

WKU will not sell out.

It's was my thoughts that everyone has to go outside the gates after the 4A game and have another ticket for the 2A game. Is this right or is the same ticket good for all Friday games?

From the WKU website:

"Almost $50 million has been spent in the renovation and expansion of Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium including new and refurbished locker rooms, meeting rooms, weight rooms and training rooms along with an expanded academic advising center. Seating capacity has expanded to 23,500 and the stadium also features club seats, a $1.5 million video replay scoreboard and a state-of-the-art playing surface."

If they sell out (all games) or at least most of them - will that not be unprecedented ??

Do not think it will happen either. IMHO

I don't know if this is true, but perhaps Fort Campbell is close to selling out their allotment of tickets? One would think that if they did that, the KHSAA would just send a few more to them to sell.

I believe it was the 2003 Trinity/X game that drew more than 23,500; however, obviously that game was in Louisiville.

There is no way. People have an inflated view as to how many people attend these state final games which is why I have never understood all the parking concerns and accommodation concerns of Bowling Green. With the exception of an X/T game, there are always a lot more empty seats than occupied ones.

I really doubt that any of the games will be a sellout. 22,000+ capacity at WKU.

If I go to the PT/Somerset game at 11 sat.morning will I have to leave and purchase a ticket for the Mayfield/LCA game? Imho it should be a all day ticket.

I think in the past you could buy single-game tickets, single-day tickets, and six-game two-day packages. Someone correct me if that's wrong.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't think it was true, I just wanted to get some opinions.

That is what I remember too. :thumb:

There is a separate ticket for each game. If you want to see two in a row, purchase your tickets for both games when you enter.

So, they clear the place out b/n games?

I don't reall PPJS clearing before each game... is this new?

If it is... don't think that is the avenue to attract fans to Kentucky State Football playoffs.
